First, the atmosphere was very good. Exactly what you expect. Lots of room and tvs, nice patio too. Great place.
Wife and I had been wanting to visit for quite some time and finally had a night without our boys at home. We both ended up getting burgers. Her's came with an onion ring or two, cheese, BBQ sauce and bacon, it was really good. Mine was a triple patty smash burger, with cheese on each patty and extra on top of that, it was very good (and cheaper than her's). I'll say this, these were easily the thickest smash burger patties I've ever had. It was definitely filling. Will likely just go for the double in the future, well, maybe. The wife had mac and cheese as her side, it was good and definitely had a real cheddar cheese.flavor, not boxed or powdered. My onion rings were good. We got the chips and queso, which came with salsa too. The chips we got were fine, but perhaps slightly stale. The salsa was good, warm but not hot. Honestly, tasted a lot like the kind we buy at Tom Thumb, but we like that kind, so. The queso came with chorizo, black beans, corn, tomatoes. I had very high hopes up on seeing it. It didn't satisfy those high hopes, but it was good. You know how that goes sometimes, you get your expectations up so high that they can't be met. It was worth the price. The only disappointment from the meal was our Dr. Pepper came in a can. It tasted great of course, but that just isn't enough soda for a meal and at $3 per can, it was a bit much. I know they're trying to drive beer sales, but still, some of us have to drive home after.
As for the beer, they have many, many to choose from and I can all but guarantee you can find...
Read moreI stopped here on a dead Tuesday afternoon around 3pm and so glad I did. I had seen their product, especially their Sasquatch in my local Spec’s and HEB, but never had taken the plunge. There were few people inside (to be expected at 3pm ona Tuesday) but I met the owner and brewmaster, father/son team and learned a lot of what they’re about. I tried a flight of different styles along with a Brisket Grilled Cheese sandwich, and I was in heaven. I talked to the owner about the history of the building and surrounding complex and even got an impromptu tour of of the brewery with Jeremy the brewmaster since it was kind of dead at the time. They have tons of unique beers on tap and available in can such as their Slushy beers (Gose base with fruit added after and chilled till slightly slushy - delicious) and their world class Scotch Ales and Sasquatch porter reserve brews. Everything I tried was delicious and I definitely recommend stopping by - even if you’re from Dallas, it’s worth the 45-60 minute drive to check out. Over time, I think the surrounding old textile plant will become a go-to brew haven. Even now, it’s a must visit location that will open your eyes to a lot of great experimental and solid brews...
Read more903 is a trek for me since I live in Grapevine but I finally made the drive up to this brewery on Saturday and spent 4-5 hours here. Stouts are my favorite and I love a “slushy” style so it was time to check this brewery off the list.
First, the space is huge which is nice to not have to worry about getting a big table. 5* Second, the servers were all super friendly and helpful. 5* But of course it all comes down to the beer and food. I got to try a lot of different stuff since we were there so long. I was expecting the stouts to be my favorite but I actually thought the Hop Alone and a few of the slushies were the stars. The stouts were all good, a few I would even say very good. Wakey Wakey was my favorite. My only critique is that I’d love a traditional flight of 4-6 small tastes rather than 2 bigger pours. When the menu is so big, it’s hard to try everything I want. My alcohol tolerance is human.
Food was good, brisket grilled cheese was probably the best thing I tried. I would’ve liked a little more spice on the Philly cheesesteak burger, but man that thing was huge.
All in all I was happy with the experience and bought 2 cases to go. I’d put it in my Top “DFW breweries...
