Wendy's — Restaurant in Shippensburg Township

3 months ago there was an issue with a Lexi, the cashier at the drive thru window. This evening, a man by the name of “Kian” was speaking very rudely about me and funny enough in front of me. I called the store and spoke with what sounded like the manager after waiting over 20 minutes in the drive thru to let them know there was a missing item from my order and that I was on my way and to make sure it was alright to drive back. Very kind lady. I pulled up just a couple of minutes after that since I waited a while to get someone on the phone. Additionally I asked for a remake of the fries since I had to drive 15 minutes out. Everything else in the order was fine. When I got there, I overheard him say “did she really ask for a remake of the order? Who asks for a remake of an order just because one thing is missing? That doesn’t even make sense.” I let him finish talking before I approached the young lady that he was speaking to. I told her I never asked for the remake of my order and that he was running his mouth right in front of me and didn’t even know what he was talking about or that I was there. Which is crazy. The manager was very apologetic and kind after that but I still wanted his name. He tells me his name himself even though I wasn’t speaking to him then said “you want me to spell it?” Crazy. If you’re going to run your mouth like that in front of customers, especially in front of the customer you’re speaking on, be prepared to lose your job. The only thing positive about my experience tonight was the kindness and professionalism of a young woman who works there named Catherine. Other than that, my family had a terrible experience. The very long lines where cars move on the average of 7-10 minutes is frustrating enough but then when you get the food it is disgusting drenched in mayonnaise. I ended up having them make me another sandwich which I had to request light mayonnaise. When I got home, my husband saw his sandwiches soaked in mayonnaise and threw them in the garbage. I spend $46.00 on a disgusting meal. There was a girl there that disgusted me. She is standing there for customers to see, licking a frosty with her tongue and no spoon. It was disgusting. Everyone seemed to be working except her. Then I saw her talking about me to another staff member. Very unprofessional. You may see her if you go through the drive-thru. She is short with dark curly hair and glasses. I am so angry I spend so much money to be nothing but aggravated. Their chili is great but I will never eat any kind of burger or chicken there again. No one takes pride in what they are doing. I also just remembered there was a young darker skinned young man that worked there that was such a caring individual and made me not lose my mind. He stepped in towards the end but he communicated so well with us, I can see him in a position with customer service with his wonderful personality...

I am starting to wonder to myself whether or not this place is actually in competition when it comes to incompetence with the McDonald's down the street.

The last few times I have come in it has not gone as well as it could have. The service is mediocre, sometimes I stand at the counter for 3 to 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledges me.

Today, I stopped in for a number 6 medium. That would be the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and a medium drink.

When I got to where I was working today. I realized I was given a a small chicken sandwich and not a spicy chicken sandwich. It also had shredded lettuce on it instead of the leaf it normally has.. And, it also had a single tomato slice so thin I could physically see my fingers through it.

The food has gotten smaller, pricier, and now they're even charging additional fees for a little tub of barbecue sauce.

That would be fine as long as the food itself was better.

I can go down the road 5 minutes to a place called Zimmerman's and get a monster-sized sub for half the freaking price.. and, it's truly real food.

Corpo greed is absolutely out of control. I don't see any reason why I should be paying $11.00 for this slop went a little farm place can severely outdo them.

Most of this additional money in my opinion is going into the pockets of CEOs, CFOs, investors , and whoever else is playing golf in their office at the top of the Wendy's...
