A few months ago I had a nightmare of an experience here. I ordered over $60 of carry-out, which is a bit for 2 people and a toddler but I don't mind paying for quality. It was very late and I just wanted something quick after working a double all day so I could hurry to bed and get up 6 hours later to return to work. When my husband returned my dinner amd my toddlers dinner was missing. I was infuriated being that I just wanted to feed myself and my family and get to bed. When I called the restaurant I was told that the rest of my order was sitting there and I could come back to get it. At this point I was disgusted and no longer wanted to eat. I am giving a 4 star review because of the events that followed. I had the host put the manager on the phone and I was met with some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in the United States. Mr. Jarome Martin handled this situation with the upmost professionalism, courtesy and tact. He offered me a credit for the FULL value of the entire meal ordered. In addition he offered me a free appetizers and the cash back for my missing dinner to be redeemed the next time I ordered from Applebee's. I was skeptical but tested Mr. Martin's offer a few weeks later. When I called no one knew of the incident as it was nit recorded in their book. I had to wait an hour for Mr. Martin's shift to begin when I called back to place my order. When I finally got him on the phone he remembered me and assured me that his word would be kept. He forwarded me to a server who took my order. When it was picked up Mr. Martin was PERSONALLY preparing the finishing touches on our meal. The refund was received as promised and my almost $70 meal was given to me for free. The food was absolutely divine and everything was made perfectly without any mistakes. I waited about 10 minutes and even tried calling the number listed on their carside togo sign and nobody picked up. I thought maybe the restaurant might've been busy so I went inside. I was so wrong. There were less than 10 customers seated at tables in the restaurant. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes for a worker to acknowledge that I had even walked in. Then I had to wait about another 10 minutes to even get my order (which I had already received a āreadyā notification for prior to even getting to the restaurant). I was handed my bag and headed home. When I got home, I checked the bag and some of my food was missing. Also, the steak I ordered tasted like it was an old piece of steak that was warmed upā¦SO tough and overcooked. I called the restaurant and it went straight to an automated voice, so I filled out a customer complaint form. Corporate called me, apologized, and said they would contact the location. They also said that only the location could help me get a refund for the food. The location manager contacted me via email (didnāt even call), and I missed the email by a few days. All he said was sorry and they would use my complaint to better the service in the restaurant. NO TYPE OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF A REFUND. Unbelievable! So I responded with a request for a refund and I still havenāt heard backā¦itās been a month! I have never received such horrible and inconsiderate service in my life. The lady who answered placed me on hold, spoke with her manager, and then spoke back with me informing me that I could show up with my party of 15 because they would have enough staff to handle the party and they would have a special treat for my daughter. Ok great!!!!
Arriving there, the restaurant doesn't seen too busy! Great! Waitress comes takes our drinks orders, in the meantime, were waiting on the rest of out party (stuck in traffic because of a serious accident on dixie) we're getting refills in dirty cups smh. I had to use the restroom...it was beyond dirty! They had all these staff members at the bar laughing and not one person would take the time to go clean the restroom. The plates and silverware come out, dirty! Instead of my daughter getting her special treat for her birthday, (which i did inform the Waitress that they told me that on the phone) she had a drink spilled on her. Everyone is eating their food and my man and I are still sitting there with nothing to eat and we were 2nd to order at the tabel. I was over it. I asked for my food to go because I had to wait soooooo long for it to come out. And then I still had to ask for the rest when they brought the main course out. My sister paid the manager for her tab at the bar because the Waitress was taking to long and she was ready to go. She paid in cash, told him the rest was her tip. And the Waitress accused her of walking out. However the Waitress did get her money and was seen putting the money in her bra. She was trying have someone else pay for that meal again.
