Dixie Chicken LLC — Restaurant in Shively

Went there for the first time in MONTHS... probably closer to a year because the quality of the food had gone down. But decided to go there to get something quick and easy. Well there were 2 workers there. The man may have been new and the woman was seasoned. There were 3 people ahead of me and instead of waiting on each person, both of them waited on one person at a time with the woman barking orders at the man. When it came for my order, the woman went to the back of the store. He started fixing my order and she comes out questioning him about what he was doing; asking him did he know what he was doing, which I thought was rude and unprofessional. I spoke up and said, "He got it. You wrecking the flow". So my 2nd order came up and they pull out this tiny black box. I said, "when did they start putting tips in the black box, I always got tips in a white box". She said, "we always put tips in the black box and I've been here for 4 years". And then immediately, I remembered why I no longer go to this place. Rude and unprofessional. I told her that I've been coming to the place for over 6 years and I'd never seen her. Then, she placed my food in the bag without closing the container and went back to the back of the store. And this is why I will not return to this restaurant ever again. I prefer Franco's anyway. Did an order online menu states for 50 piece 10 wedges & 5 rolls $28.99 also got 10 honey BBQ wings $8.99 was charged $74.94 contacted store which they never answer the phone had to call 20 times. When finally spoke with young lady who didn't know anything was told the menu on website was from 2006 but this menu is also inside the store at 3947 Dixie Highway. Asked for manager spoke with SAM who says he is the owner he was very rude told me it was not his website but his tele# is listed on there as well as his address so if the website is not his then why is all his information listed there? I didn't even get my 5 rolls chicken was dry hard. If I knew I was going to be charged 70 dollars I would have went to O'Charleys or another restaurant worth my money. He was so rude told me there was nothing he could do wasn't giving me a refund or try to compensate me for false advertising or not getting my 5 rolls. So basically he just took my money and was rude to a customer I have since reported to BBB will be disputing this with my bank. You will not false advertisements on a website with your business but say it's not your website take my money & treat me unfair as a paying customer. I will also be sending my brother's there to talk with him on how he spoke with me and then hung up on me like I'm nobody but I am someone and u will not treat me any kind of way plus take $75 from me!!!...

It says there is a drive thru but most of the time it doesn’t operate so you would have to go inside to place an order. Don’t judge the place from the outside but this place has one of the best homestyle meals I have ever tasted and eaten in the city of Louisville. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and didn’t mind telling me which one of the dishes were their faves. Would’ve gotten some of their greens but unfortunately they ran out during the time that I came so I opted for their potato salad and Mac and cheese instead with my meatloaf dinner. The sides were good and tasted pretty average but the meatloaf was very delicious and hearty and had a lot of vegetables in it. I was glad that they were very generous with their portion sizes and the cornbread that I paid extra for wasn’t too bad as well. I would suggest paying extra for the cornbread cause it was soo worth it. If only I come to this area a lot often I would’ve definitely become one of their...
