We decided to go to scooters for a Sunday brunch. We’ve been there in the past and had a wonderful experience however yesterday was a disaster. We met our friends around 1045 Sat down quickly. Ordered our drink and then ordered our meal. Nothing out of the ordinary for a Sunday brunch. After 45 minutes the food came the hashbrowns were cold the poached eggs had gelled because they were so cold. Our friends ordered toast which was bread warmed not toasted the server never came back to ask if was OK and never came back to refill coffee. We spoke to the manager on duty and he took our food back to the kitchen and replaced it with a bit warmer food. When my husband finally was able to flag someone down for coffee I took another half hour because “they had to make it “. Who doesn’t have ample coffee for a brunch? If you get a little busy in there but you would expect that on a Sunday at brunch. The manager thought that he did as a favor by giving us three dollars off of our meal, pitiful. It was a horrible experience and we won’t be going back don’t know what happened to their good service and good food but it’s not there anymore. On the way out I asked for a card to contact someone in the front girls are we’re defensive and said we don’t have anything like that and I said well that the meal in the service needed attention the two girls got very defensive of him acting like we were old people expecting something that we shouldn’t that topped experience. Maybe some training and some training on how to work with customers would be beneficial. I would not recommend this restaurant and I will never go back. Short staffed is not the excuse we wanted to hear. We know places have trouble with staff But The fact that the manager didn’t support his staff by interacting with customers leaves his management skills in question. What was suppose to be a fun Sunday left a bad taste...
Read moreExtremely unsafe bar after dark. Security does not care for your well-being, and will not protect you in the parking lot, even if a fight breaks out LITERALLY right outside the front door. Multiple friends saw a man get jumped and brutally beaten on 8/7/15 directly outside the front door and bar security did absolutely nothing. Bar staff do not care for your safety, either, and drinks are continually sold to overly intoxicated individuals.
The food here is absolutely awful; I personally gave this restaurant a chance on three different visits. On two of these occasions I had to send my food back into the kitchen because it was cold. I complained about the experience both times, and no offer or apology was ever issued to me by management, my waitress, or anyone else. On the third and final time I tried this restaurant (during the day with family) the waitress spilled an entire glass of water on my boyfriend's grandma. We got up and left without eating, as no apology was ever issued to us.
I seriously wish I had made this review up, because I really wanted to like this place, especially since the restaurant Skooter's took the place of was a complete pit. Unfortunately, Skooter's is just another second rate establishment; a true blight on the community. Unsafe. Poor...
Read moreWow where do I begin. As a native Texan I was excited about brisket. Boy was I mistaken with the brisket that I got. In Texas you normally get a choice of lean or moist brisket which was not offered here which should have been my first red flag. Also it was not indicated if it was chopped or sliced which should have been the second red flag. What I got resembled a tough and not easy to eat brisket that looked like a rib. Normally if you slow cook a brisket for as long as they say they do it very easily comes apart. This brisket you could cut with a saw and it still wouldn’t fall apart.
For the sides I won’t even get into as the mashed potatoes were basically a liquid drink.
I would advise not getting bbq from here if you are wanting an authentic bbq experience. It’s like the chef went to a real bbq place and was like they aren’t doing this right I can do it better, and failed miserably. This brisket very much tasted like it was oven baked for 6 hours instead of being slow smoked for 14 hours. There isn’t a replacement for low and slow cooking when it...
