First of all, these people don’t even know the correct ingredients that go in many of their cakes or baked goods. They actually sold us an expensive Black Forest Cake that had 5-6 big strawberries on a chocolate cake with confectionery sugar on top of it. A Black Forest cake doesn’t have huge strawberries but cherries on a moist chocolate or a chocolate sponge cake with whipped cream frosting on top decorated with cute little maraschino cherries on top of the whipped cream frosting. It also contains cherry jam mixed with freshly chopped cherries or chopped maraschino cherries between two layers of a round nine or ten inches wide moist and delicious chocolate cake.

The cake my husband bought for our kid’s birthday, a couple of years ago didn’t look anything like a Black Forest cake but that’s what they labeled and sold it this store. Worst yet, their employee insisted that it was a Black Forest cake even though I tried to tell them that it wasn’t cause it looked nothing like a black forest cake.

On top of that, the chocolate cake was heavy not moist and it tasted distinguishing. That cake must’ve been expired. It seemed that they put too much baking soda or something else in it cause their chocolate cake tasted like acetone or nail polish remover. On top of that we paid more than $45 for a lousy, 9-inch round cake. It was way too expensive. You could buy three decent size cakes at that price from Walmart, Costco or elsewhere.

So, do yourselves a favor and don’t buy anything from this store. You’ll regret it. These people just rip you off and sell you extremely overpriced and expired or spoiled baked goods. They don’t know anything about baking cakes. We had to throw out our entire cake cause we didn’t want to get food poisoning from that disgusting acetone flavored chocolate cake with huge strawberries on top wrongly sold to us as a genuine Black Forest cake. It was disgusting. If I could, I would go give it zero stars. It ruined our daughter’s birthday.

If you can bake, I would recommend baking a cake from scratch or from a box cake mix instead of buying anything from this overpriced bakery. Your home baked cake might not come out perfect but at least it would taste much better than their extremely overpriced, expired and distasteful baked goods and it won’t ruin your...

Unprofessional service . When I order the 2 house ice Latte to go with less sweet and 1 without ice.. first cashier said they can ‘t do it like that .. so I told her I did order like this before and they do it every time . this not first time so she turn around and asked the other lady in the back I guess she is barista . So they both come to me and barista said she can’t adjust the level of sugar in it . So I told her your guy did it before by put less brown sugar syrup that’s all . Then she said Oh yes yes . So I paid for the drink $10.49 and waits for it at the waiting area .. while I wait I noticed the other barista look at the cup I suppose is my order and go ask cashier again . Then both talking by kept looking at me . So I guess they talking about me ?Then they call for my drink that came out . But I only saw 1 drink .soI told her I order 2 drink should have another one that without ice . ? And suddenly another barista ( so this is the third one I have to talk to today ) said oh we can’t do the drink with out ice .. I said but you guy did it before multiple time .cause I order the same thing all the time one with ice /one without that for me to drink tomorrow and I understand if I will get less drink in the cup cause of no ice in it . She said oh we Change policy can’t do no lce ,adjust sweet , cup side blah blah Then I said why don’t anyone tell me that ..before I paid for my drink . Why say yes and lmade me wait for it quite awhile ? Why waste my time . So I ask for the refund and don’t take only one drink that was made . And now have to wait for money to refund to card .Yepp money can refund but what about my time that you waste on it can you return that...

This place is visually appealing and that’s it, do not get food from here or you’ll be disappointed.

Tl;Dr Pastries are mostly air and it’s not funny, it’s sad Custard is flavorless, but the flavor it does have is just egg and butter. It tastes like I’m eating an egg yolk with butter on it… Curry Buns have zero flavor or crunch to them Red Bean Paste Buns are BITTER Chocolate Danish is 98% bread and 2% Chocolate Cream ONLY tastes like butter

My fiancé and I were very excited to try this place, especially after walking in and seeing the glass wall of goodies and being reminded of our time in Japan. But little did we know how disappointed we’d be. We got concerned when they didn’t take any of our hot stuff to “cook” or “heat”. They half hazardously out our stuff in boxes, so some stuff came out better than others. But in the end we realized we’re never coming back. I know the joke is “it’s mostly air” when it’s not filled to the brim with whatever the filling is, but these are ACTUALLY just air. It’s so sad that you night into a custard bun, and the custard is just a block at the bottom center and the rest of everything is air. Chocolate danish? Air. Curry bun? Air. You’ll never have to worry about biting into something and it bursting out, because you’ll be lucky if there’s anything in there to begin with. Custard tastes like butter or it’ll taste like egg yolk, or you’ll get luck and it tastes like both. But never does it taste good.
