If you're from out of town, avoid this spot. They just moved to a bigger location in a shopping center. They were in a space above a motel lobby before. The New space looked promising as they offered more pool tables, band stage, area with other games, and most importantly, more room.
We were excited to check out the new location, so we went on Sunday March 26th at 740pm. Great time as there were only about 14 people there. We waited a little bit to order drinks as we didn't want to order if we couldn't get a pool table. A group left so we claimed the table. Soon after we ordered a drink with the new bartender coming on shift. A white Russian and black russian. A little while later, they said our drinks were ready. One taste and found out it wasn't right. The new shift and old shift bartender laughed seeing my expression stating, "we guessed and figured it wasn't right". I tasted cola and they said they did put cola into it because they guessed on how to make the 2 drinks. Both were made incorrectly and they stated that they were " off for 3 months and don't remember how to even make a long Island iced tea" ... like they were proud of their lack of knowledge. They asked us to look up a recipe online so they can make the drinks correctly. (They said they had to hide their phones cause they couldn't have them out on shift) We looked up the recipe for them and the new bartender made the black russian over again since it wasn't right. When we asked if she could remake the White Russian since it was incorrect she refused, stating she would need to charge us. Saying" I made this one over and that's on me but if you want the other remade I need to charge you! " We didn't want to argue about it so we left the drink on the bar top and shared the black russian.
While we were there, they had a loud conversation with a man behind the bar about how a pool tournament was ABSOLUTELY NOT going to be held on Sundays and only Tuesdays.... making it obvious to say, "They can complain all they want! We can't move the tables away from the wall because of the Fire Marshall! They can't tell us what to do! I'm running it on Tuesdays! Tuff sh*t!" We finished our first game of pool and left since it was very uncomfortable.
This bar is a locals only bar and they cater to the inside jokes of the locals and make everyone else uncomfortable because they're outside of their circle. This was the same vibe as the hole in the wall they occupied before.... same crude behavior, and don't be surprised to see a fight or two on a busy night.
We gave them a shot because of the new venue, but it was rude disrespectful service, questionable clientele, and anything goes. If you go, try the daytime as the rough party goers come out at night. We may give them another try down the road but that's a big maybe. I'll update this post if we do.
Pros - you can do what you want and no rule enforcement, new-ish space. Cons- terrible service, unknowlegable bartenders, no good food options, despite being a new space there is a moist musty smell throughout, and...
Read moreDon’t know what it takes to get service here… there are technically two places to order drinks at this bar, but only one bartender when I was here. I was in one line by the dart boards behind 4 other people getting drinks with nobody else at the other end of the bar. After the bartender served the guy in front of me, she looked me dead in the eye, and walked back to throw some things away on the other end of the bar, and then started serving guests walking in showing ID after just arriving… this went on for over 10 minutes as she continued to serve new female patrons entering the bar, while looking back at me standing there after every single encounter and smiling at me. I looked over at the bouncer 5 feet away, and he just shrugged his shoulders, and made eye contact with me. Sometimes you could chuck this up to the bartender just been too busy and not seeing you but this deliberate. I’m still not sure how you actually get a drink at this bar. I guess you have to know somebody...
Read moreA horrible, horrible experience! (Mon, 4/11/22, 11 pm.) Bartender set my order of fries down on bar and her male friend stole some (probably an off-duty co-worker as he was behind the bar). SO, SHE GAVE HIM MY BASKET OF FRIES!!! I was watching VERY closely and she did not ring in 2 baskets of fries. This is my first time driving through the town of Show Low, AZ. I should have eaten gas station hot dogs and been on my way. You live and learn.
EDIT (4/19/22): as you see below the owner says that the THIEF was not a friend of the bartender. A blatant lie, because WHY WOULD THE BARTENDER PAY FOR A RANDOM THIEF'S STOLEN FRIES?! Such a joke. Most owners send a $25 gift card. This place? Well, they chose to have a bad review on Google for eternity. I ain't...
