Bear's — Restaurant in Shreveport

Tonight was my first time coming to Bear’s. My husband and I got there just after they opened, and the bartender was SO sweet. She answered all of my dumb newbie questions (Where can we sit? Where do we put the buzzer when it goes off? I’m new, help!) and she did so with kindness and a smile. When my husband ordered the dragon fruit drink, she apologized and said they’re out of dragonfruit but offered to make a different drink instead. She made the most ridiculously amazing something that tasted like an orangesicle and had an orange slice in it. I don’t drink only because I don’t like the taste of alcohol and can always taste it in drinks, but I guzzled this down so fast lol. She is truly amazing. And the food! SO GOOD!!! We had the special (a bacon wrapped hotdog with a bunch of goodies on it), a cheeseburger and fries, and cauliflower wings. Y’all. Idk who is in the kitchen making this food but it was all piping hot and so ridiculously delicious. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. The BEST comfort food in Shreveport, best owner and atmosphere. There is not enough good that can be said about Bear's. Colton is a wonderful proprietor and puts his heart into his business. It shows. He knows his customers by name, the staff is all super friendly and great. The quality of the products and services is exceptional. The ambience of the place is comfortable and pleasant, like a bar on a sitcom where the characters are known and welcomed when they enter. Nice patio if you feel like being outdoors and enjoying the Louisiana weather on the rare occasions that it's pleasant. Bear's is truly one of the best taverns in the Shreveport/Bossier area. The food is truly phenomenal and full of ever-evolving creativity. There is a wide range of weekly activities to enjoy, one of which is the weekly trivia night hosted by the ever-radiant Lillian (of Know-it-All Trivia.)
