Checkers — Restaurant in Shreveport

I love checkers! I was a kid in Florida when they started checkers. But over time they hired worse and worse people and the quality went down. But still I was excited to see a checkers in Shreveport. But then the tell us the grill isn't working and we would have to get only fried food. No other customers at this checkers and they still got the order wrong. Their fried food is terrible other than the French fries. Very disappointed but not surprised in checkers. I would ask they they fix their issues but I fear it's too late for this once wonderful burger chain.

Some improvement. 12/25/23 .. Christmas day so will cut slack for that. still very slow. I doubt it was because of Christmas day.

The burger meat not nearly as good as it used to be. Fries were great. Coke tastes like musty cave water. They either have no filters on the coke machine or very old and nasty. Or the nozels are never cleaned. But it's gross and likely a health hazard.

Checkers corporate does give a c r a p about anything the restaurants do.

Would've bumped to two stars if it weren't for the nasty cokes. On the way out of town we are at Carl's jr across the street. Their cokes tasted fine.

Still barely a shadow of what checkers once was. Only the fries...

What a letdown. I'm from Texas, and I haven't had Checkers since I was a teen. So let me start by saying that the service was horrible. Food took 10 minutes, they don't give me a spoon with the Sunday I ordered, no fork for my load fries, and someone explain to me why in the world would you put salt on season fries! The fries were the best growing up, but today, I couldn't even finish two fries! They were so salty. Now the burgers, wow, I can't believe a McDonald's burger is bigger than a checker burger. I will definitely never come back. Rest in peace to my favorite burger place...

Fries were very very cold and containers were not even full We upgraded from small and got charged for large containers and they were only half full...after waiting almost 5 minutes for food after ordering you would of thought they would of been at least warm. BURGERS WERE GOOD. Drinks were so bad we had to throw out of window. Tasted very moldy. If we had not had 6 more hours to go on our trip home I would have taken it all back. Wish I had...
