Waffle House — Restaurant in Shreveport

Brenda has horrible customer service. Last week I came in and one of the cooks were asking me what I wanted, she yelled NO I HAVE AN ORDER, being rude as if she didn’t want me to place my order with the cook. Tonight I came in and she just continued talking to the customer who was eating and didn’t ask me for my order. She ignored me. There were no other customers in line or ordering at this time. So I had to get Ariel which was on her break at the time and I asked if she could take my order and she did. She was nice about it and I even told her I would wait until she came off break but she insisted to do It right then. Thanks Ariel. Afterwards, another customer walked in and she immediately asked for their order. I’m not sure why she is rude towards me. I’m just a regular customer like everyone else. I have 5 stars marked for service from Ariel! Thank you so much for making my experience so much better Ariel. As I’m walking out, Brenda goes on to talk about me to one of the customers. As long as I been coming here, late nights after work or nights when I don’t feel like cooking,I have never had this kind of experience. This Waffle House is the closet to my home, about 5 minutes away .Everyone is usually cool and down to earth. But for the first time, this Brenda chick has made second guess on coming here. If I were to come in and she was the only one taking orders, it’s a guarantee...

It's payday so I decided to stop at Waffle House before work. Huge mistake!! There was only one waitress at 6:45 so we waited ten minutes before being greeted. I ordered an original Patty melt and hash browns with just about everything on them. My boyfriend ordered two scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. The staff was arguing in the kitchen area the whole time. When we finally received our food I was given a bacon cheeseburger on toast which I was told is how they do their Patty melts now with hashbrowns that were missing the ingredients I asked for. The eggs my boyfriend ordered were runny as if the cook forgot and fried them over easy and then scrambled them as he was putting it on the plate. I specifically had asked for absolutely NO BACON. When I told the manager I didn't want the burger she stormed off said under her breath. The manager then told the waitress "oh well charge her anyway. We aren't taking anything off" and then she went and hid in the office. I asked for the owners name and number and was told I could not have it but I could call their 1800 number and do the survey. Except I was not given my receipt with that number on it.

My visit here was 100% positive from the moment I stepped out of my car. The door man (Bo) greeted me from across the parking lot and had me smiling and in a good mood before I ever walked in the door. The restaurant was at capacity so I had to wait to be seated. But as soon as someone got up to leave, Bo was there again to help bus the table in order to get me seated quickly. The food was served hot and tasted GREAT! The waitress (Carey) was friendly and attentive. When we left, Bo again held the door for us and thanked us for our visit and said "Come back to see us again some time if you get the chance". And I guarantee you I will. I have eaten at several Waffle House restaurants around town...but this one is by far the best. I was impressed by the cleanliness. While we ate, I watched Bo bustling around the dining area with a broom and dustpan sweeping up every crumb he could find on the floor...then cleaning fingerprints off the glass doors. What an amazing crew they have here! I will never go to any other Waffle House...
