Let me preface by saying that Jason’s Deli has always been one of my favorite restaurants/cafes in Shreveport. The employees are generally nice and the food is amazing. The management also seems superb. However, multiple times I have ordered takeout and discovered wrong items after leaving the location. When going back the employee(s) are generally apologetic and diligent about correcting the order, however, there seems to be a trend with to go orders being wrong, granted the receipt for the order is stapled to the bag. This recent time I visited, I got home with my order and it was a completely different meal than what I ordered. I drove back and the amazing and lovely Elizabeth, who seems to be this locations most excellent and customer friendly employee, apologized for the mistake and diligently worked on correcting the order while also being the only employee at the register taking orders and answering phones. Meanwhile, another employee was standing nearby restocking a cooler with items that didn’t seem of high priority. Elizabeth had to tell the cook staff multiple times to remake the order and even had to get one item herself because they wouldn’t listen to her. Needless to say, after an hour and a half of securing dinner, I had my order. I will continue visiting Jason’s Deli because the food is great and there are a few very hard working employees. Bottom line is management needs to have a discussion with some employees and dear Elizabeth needs a raise and promotion. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I was very conflicted...
Read moreFood ordered online was made incorrectly and lacking key parts. We called to speak to the manager to correct it, and we were placed on hold for 18 minutes (picture included to show I’m not exaggerating lol) with various employees picking up saying “oh the manager hasn’t come yet? Hold on…” Finally the manager did come to the phone but was totally rude and apathetic and hung up on us after we finished the conversation with us saying “Thank you, Corey.” We did ask Corey why we were on hold for so long and he said “we’re busy and short staffed.” Like trust me, I get that. I know what that’s like. But a “sorry about that” would have gone a longggg way.
The last time we were there we saw an employee suck on her gloved finger after picking up food and then continuing to make food without changing gloves. My husband manages a steakhouse (his entire career has been managing restaurants lol) and knows a lot about food safety so he figured the manager would want to know. After telling the manager on duty, they were like “Oh we’ll talk to them” as they rolled their eyes and walked off. Never saw the manager approach that employee and she continued licking her fingers and touching guest food the whole time we were there. Apparently managers at this place aren’t very customer friendly. After I go there today to get the sandwiches that were made incorrectly refunded, we probably won’t be back. Too many restaurants out here to deal with rude managers treating you like garbage. And that sucks cause the food is good! When it’s made right,...
Read moreLet’s start here the curbside park is never available. Elizabeth is the only employee that greets you and shows she is concerned. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a drink I would think this is a simple order not at all. The only thing good was the sweet tea. This is maybe the fifth time I have come here and the service is a disgrace and I wouldn’t feed my dog this chicken noodle soup. After waiting ten mins I knew for sure the soup was fresh not so noodles and carrots hard and the broth looked like cement. Elizabeth asked if there was a Togo for Sha turns out my soup had just been sitting there. Let me add the young lady with the short haircut proceeds to put my order on the Togo shelf when my ticket clearly says to go and I’m waiting. No one here seems to want to be at work except Elizabeth I know that has to be a daunting task for her to have to work with such losers. Next thing they were out of medium cup lids I asked for a lid because clearly there weren’t any at the drink station. I asked some guy he never cameback but Elizabeth did notify me that they were out. I would’ve taken it back but for what to get another bowl of lumpy cement lookin soup. Eliza definitely needs a raise and employment where she is recognized for her efforts everybody else needs to be fired. Fyi broth should be clear not...
