This is very important... I mean very important. If you dine here there are two things you MUST experience. The first is if you like oysters... If you don't... Scroll down to #2. The "Parmesan crusted grilled oysters" are pure bliss. They are absolutely perfect how they come but they bring out a variety of complimentary vinegar drops that really make your mouth wish you had "Rockefeller money" because I have never become full off of oysters. #2 is the Onion Rings... Okay okay... I get it two very distinct bold tastes were my suggestions. Oysters and now onions ... But these are not normal. If I had to compare them the only place that comes close is Herby Ks but... Mae & Co dethrones them in my book. The key is to get a container of ketchup.... Black pepper shaker and a little hot sauce with your order. What you will do is drop maybe two or three drops (more if you like spicy) in the ketchup. Then unscrew... Yes sounds wild but trust me... The pepper shaker and coat the top of the ketchup in a layer of pepper ... You may sneeze. Then take an onion ring and stir the mixture together. After doing so grab a bit of the best "ring" in the business. If this review was helpful and you took my advice please like the review so others can enjoy this bliss and little gem off of Southern loop.

Hands down best food in SBC. We are from SWLA and have searched for “Louisiana” food… you can’t find it in Shreveport/Bossier. Every place ‘tries’. Mae & Co. and Chef Blake hit the nail on the head!!!! Every part of our experience was exquisite.. top notch! From the atmosphere, service, and the drinks Hannah made were absolutely second to none. We ordered the Screen door spinach salad - added grilled shrimp.. and the catfish plate. Salad was amazing.. pepper jelly vinaigrette was sooo good! The shrimp were smoky grilled. The catfish was crispy (not fishy at all) flavorful crust with an onion ring stack. The onions were sweet with a spicy breading. Hannah made every drink to perfection! I had the lemon rosette, blackberry lemon drop and ginger spritzer (not sure about the last drink name). Lastly we had the blueberry thyme cobbler with vanilla gelato… it was the perfect sweet to salty.. sweet of the gelato and warm gooey slightly sweet of the blue berry cobbler. Each and everything we ordered was all SO good. Everyone was very attentive and our food came out quickly!! Hands down the best in SBC 10/10 recommend!!! (We have been to all the local highland places.. casinos.. everywhere.. this place is a true GEM!)

Visited a couple weeks ago and loved the food. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, greens are delicious, and onion rings are to die for! Saw an advertisement about the brunch menu and decided to invite a couple of friends to try. I ordered the chicken and beignets. Chicken was seasoned but was not impressed by the beignets. Beignets were good but did not come with much sugar. I did request more sugar but was given a small cup that was not even halfway filled. This was not my waiter’s fault…she was very kind and apoligized. I am not sure why the kitchen staff were being so stingy with the sugar. I was very excited for the chicken and beignets but I could not force myself to eat the beignets with only drops of sugar. The mimosas were great but I would not order the chicken and beignets again.
