Sam's Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Shreveport

The lady that works the register is very nice and helpful. The food here is no where near how it once was. I ordered the shrimp and fish and have been sick for 2 days now. The grease tasted of food was old tasting and fish did not taste fresh at all. I wish I would have kept my plate to have it tested. I know if the food police hit this spot there is no way they would pass inspection. I dont normally leave reviews especially negative reviews but this food poisoning is horrible. I will never eat from this place again. I know the dude is trying to make a living and having to cook his self but u can't cut corners when it comes to food. This place is playing with people's lives. If you can't run a resteraunt without serving quality food then just dont. This is the 2nd and last time that this place has gotten me. Before this current experience my wife and I had to return the food because the rice in the red beans was spoiled. I'm just praying that this sickness from food...

Me and the family are sitting down eating as I type. The quality of their food is complete trash. It was great a year or 2 ago. Chicken sandwich has 3 popcorn chicken sized pieces on it. The rest is onions and peppers. The fish is small and thin. Shrimp is either burnt or has some cheap batter. Fried pickles are mush. The fries are not bad, ain't good either. Zero taste. The beans and rice are as bland as your ex's sense of humor. Fries no longer come with any meal. If you want extra sauce, pay for it. For sure....but .50 for 2 drops of it in a container...no. this place was great, now it sucks pretty bad. Expensive food, no flavor, no quality, will not get what you pay for. Better off going...

I had a TERRIBLE experience with the owner/manager. I ordered whole catfish, not received filet. I didn’t order filet because they’re not actual filets. Anyway, I called to tell the cashier, and she didn’t seem to understand so I asked to speak to the manager. Well, he says, “You SHOULD know that the price is different.” I then informed him that I had no idea of the price, but I was sure of what I ordered. He told me to come and pay the different nastily. I told him that i didn’t like his attitude, and I’ll just get my refund. He then hung up in my face. I went and told him how rude he was and got my refund. I will not be returning at all!
