The Glass Hat Cafe — Restaurant in Shreveport

My husband and I recently discovered this place and the food was amazing ....quickly we became regulars for breakfast daily...until we stepped outside for a cigarette as usual..,to find another tables tray of food laid out on our table!!!! I found this rude and bad customer service and spoke to the manager whom. told me and or asked me did the other waitress know we stepped out..well we do this everyday and it shouldn't matter as well the waitress knew as she did apologize..but after coming day after day.,. regardless, she had served us but even if it was our first time ...bad customer service...the manager was offenseive as it should not matter...one does not put another tables plate on our table and the waitresses knew as again she did say sorry...but still all around bad customer service to my husband and I...all around very disappointed as this was going to be our new fav restaurant... saddened...I get people are busy and make mistakes we r human but there were two empty tables as well right beside ours....the situation could've been handled more respectfully and overall better...we will not be back. Hate to say....what very I tried to autocorrect several times but if u get it I get it saddened situation could've been handled bett r and are so disappointed and saddened by the way this was treated and or handled...I hope the rest of you have a...

After we waited 25 minutes for a table, we were seated and waited another 20 minutes for the waitress to even take our order, then another 25 minutes for our food to come out, 4 different people waited on us. 1st that seated us, she left mid shift, 2nd said she was a new employee, she was clearly barely keeping up, 3rd might have been a cook/owner she was pleasant but refilled my coffee and forgot to bring more creamer, finally a customer at another table went to the workstation and got his own creamer and she sent mine back via the other customer. 4th employee was pulled from the kitchen to help catch up the front she was nice and she was running around refilling drinks, then bussing tables, she was trying, it was chaotic! My food would have been better if it had not cooled before I got to eat it, waffle was dry, forgot syrup for the waffle, no spoon for my grits (very delicious grits cooked well, creamy, and perfectly seasoned) but had to eat them with a fork and finally gave up. 1st thing 1st, let's talk about parking! So easy to follow their instructions, please go to 501 parking lot at the light and you can park there for free in spots 41 to 52 only! There is a sign on their window! Handicap parking and easy if you are in a wheelchair! Now that's out of the way, let's get to the cafe!!! Walk in and have a seat anywhere the table or bar area has opening! It's a natural lighting setting! Plenty tables and can double if large parties need to sit together! Very nice brick exposed wall and skylight! Food is delicious!! Came out pretty quick and hot! Candied bacon is tasty with the kick of spicey added!! Coffee is good, and they have vanilla flavor liquid cream upon request! Tammy, our server, was so sweet! She was always ensuring we had our coffee cups filled and we were enjoying the food! I like that! Definitely give them a try if you are in the area! When we travel away from Houston we like trying local flavor, not franchises, support local, usually always better customer service such as here! If you are staying at any of the casinos, this place is less than 10 miles from any of them off...
