Sand Bar — Restaurant in Shreveport

Might be an unfair rating because I met a beautiful woman there and we had a wonderful time -- But I think the key is WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. The DJ asked her to score the karaoke contestants but he did not flirt with her and the bartenders made our drinks just right. THEY have a fine selection of beers btw and a good selection of harder beverages as well. Plenty of pool tables, several rooms with manned bars in each so everybody doesn't have to do the same thing. For instance while we watched karaoke other people played pool in another room and in yet another room people watched highlights of tonight's games. None of us disturbed the other. I think that is the sign of a good bar. And all this was on a Sunday night! So definitely give the Sandbar a try. I don't mean to take away from other local establishments because Shreveport Riverfront actually has several fine ones. But I do mean to say Sandbar should be in the top five. Duuuuude, let me tell ya about Sand Bar—this place is, like, totally the Michelangelo of pizza joints, bro! I rolled in with my crew, and from the second we caught a whiff of that cheesy goodness, we knew we were in for a gnarly time.

First off, the vibe is straight-up radical— pool, darts, giant Jenga , and some classic arcade machines in the corner I totally crushed it on, no biggie. But the real masterpiece? THE PIZZA.

I’m talkin’ about crust so thick it’s like biting into your hot mom's badunkadun(but, like, way tastier). The cheese? Oh man, it’s stretchier than Donnie's nutchucks, and the toppings? PURE PERFECTION. I went for the Burg and Mushies—and, dude, it blew my mind. It’s like a party in my mouth and everyone’s invited. The staff? Chillest sh'dudes ever. Total legends.

The first four times i went it was fun everyone was nice and i had a great time . I’ve tried to go three more times after that with a group of my girlfriends and our men and each time they were turned around. It was a different reason each time. The third time they didn’t even say why the just turned them around before they could even get to the doorman. Wouldn’t even say why or what the problem was . No one was dressed inappropriately or being disrespectful nothing .They don’t sag or wear too big clothes , no hats , hoodies anything against the rules. So here all the girls are in and ready to enjoy the night and we are missing our dates. They pick and choose who they let in and they choose not to let in any “ urban “ black men. Dress code I understand but based off of their skin tone and style is not right and i’ll never go again and advise all of my employees, family and friends to never go and they agree.
