This is a really fun outing for the family. Our toddler enjoyed pointing at the fish and trying to touch them in the touch pools. It was safe enough that we could let her toddle around and go where she wanted for the most part. She enjoyed the different activities even if she wasn't quite old enough for them. I love how many touch experiences there are. There's the tide pool, the stingrays, and the jellyfish. Unfortunately the jellyfish were resting when we were there but the baby still got a lot out of the other touch experiences. I love how they have turned the former arboretum into a local plant and animal area. When our kiddo gets older I'm sure we will be doing the mine dig. They actually had some pretty decent stuff in there. I was really impressed with the detail of the settings. It's a great little aquarium for the area. The restaurant has changed a few times but it's a nice setting for events. I feel like we'll end up with an aquarium birthday party within the next few years. If you buy tickets online they are a little bit cheaper than if you just show up like we did. We didn't have to wait though. We were told that if you purchased tickets online for a certain time you can come at any time that day. It's for the whole day. There are snacks in the gift shop and food when the restaurant is open. There are places to eat within walking distance, too. Park at the lot across the street with the fish on it for free. Watch yourself crossing the street. People don't know what pedestrians are here.
