K&J's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Sidney

I've been here twice with my little girl. The first time going in it was very clean and nicely decorated. I was very excited to bring my little girl here for the first time. Well we walk up to the ice cream and wait for someone to help us. We wait and wait and wait. Mine you there are about 7 people working behind the counter. I asked if we could get help with picking out the ice cream we wanted. I was told i had to get in line, I thought we were in line seeing how we were the only ones in there for about five minutes. So we had to wait another 10 or 15 minutes just to order because now there were more people in the store. Very unorganized! The second time I was thinking it would be better..... I was wrong! This time was worse. Same as last time but then the lady took her sweet time weighing the ice cream, a small in a bowl is $3 she took about 5 mins just to weigh it! Put some in the bowl took some out..... 5 minutes of this! I paid for the icecream before she would scoop it by the way. Then my little girl at the last min wanted sprinkles. This women looks at me and says that will be an extra charge is that okay? Are you kidding me right now. You just saw I paid for it with a card no I'm not ok with that I don't want to charge my card again for some sprinkles. Who charges for SPRINKLES! So if I were you go to...

The teenage girl that was working today as of 4/28/2025 that stated “I’m in charge” needs to really be spoken too. She wanted to bluntly disrespect my mother. Then she continued by slamming the window in her face. All because she asked for her $2 back. She asked for a Oreo milkshake with Oreo chunks. So that would’ve been with a plain vanilla (that you use when you do a strawberry milkshake) and add Oreo chunks. She wanted to argue with my mother as well as myself abt $2!? Like fr? She wanted to say that there is no way that can be made. Yet just the other day we came, and it was made completely different. If I was Yall I’d definitely go somewhere else. That is absolutely ridiculous. My mother is the nicest woman possible and she just kept over speaking her so I said something. Then she wanted to slam the window in our faces. Definitely rude and not called for. When they 1 just wanted the $2 for themselves. Or 2 they just truly don’t know how to serve with respect and count correctly. I personally have worked in this field and speaking to customers like that, that was nothing but kind...

We try to support small local business but when there are 5 people behind the counter and not one person can acknowledge us after my wife and I stood there for 5 minutes and watched a young girl come in and get service immediately from one of the young kids working we realized they did not want our business so we left we will never be back and this place won't last. I suggest getting an adult to manage the kids so they stop chit chatting and ignoring customers before you loose...
