We ordered 2 large Boba milk teas. One was a matcha blended with passion fruit popping bubbles and it was delicious. The other was a honeydew over ice with tapioca bubbles. They were out of the jelly kind. The honeydew drink had a mild but pleasant flavor. The tapioca was warm and even with the ice in the drink it took time to become cool. The tapioca pearls are chewy and sweet. My husband had this drink and preferred my matcha. He said next time he'll get blended as well.
We also ordered cream cheese wantons and an order of lumpia at the staff's recommendation. The cream cheese wantons were hot and creamy and were a decent size. They come 6 to an order. The lumpia looks like skinny little crispy egg rolls and we brought them to a friend who loved them. She said they were delicious.
The staff we interacted with were friendly. The first gal seemed new as she struggled to describe some of the items, but she was friendly, professional and made good recommendations. The other staff member that helped her seemed more confident and knowledgeable and was also friendly.
The place looked clean and the design is nice with a purple theme throughout the restaurant. It is visually appealing. There were colorful gourmet cookies on display at the front that drew our attention so we decided to try them. We got the purple ones which are made with Ube and were sweet and soft they did fall apart a bit as they had melded together in the bag but they were delicious, if a bit pricey.
It was a nice first impression of the place and we will definitely be back to try more food and different boba flavors! They have a punch card, which is...
Read moreSo heartbroken…used to love going to JVS boba. They had some of the best coffee in town and their boba was amazing! A few weeks ago we went to the drive through location and were told the lady couldn’t make blended drinks at the drive through location. We didn’t really question it just ordered two iced boba drinks and went on our way. That day they were delicious. However, I went in today to curb a craving and was so disappointed. Went to the drive through location and was told they were out of large cups. So in hopes the building location would have them we drove over. To my disappointment they were out too. Oh well, a small treat should still do the trick. So I order on the kiosk, a blended Thai tea with traditional tapioca boba and an iced Thai tea with traditional boba and the lady brings out two pale cups of boba drink. I confirmed they were in fact Thai tea and confused she said oh, I’ll remake them. A few minutes later she comes out with two iced Thai teas. I didn’t have the heart to tell her one was supposed to be blended so I took them and went on my way. I get to the car and my husband and I both take a sip. It didn’t taste much like the rich spiced tea we’re used to and the boba was not their typical super soft and chewy. One was so hard my hubby spit it out…. Maybe they were having an off day. I understand some supply issues still exist because of COVID maybe that’s the reason for the cups. I love supporting local businesses especially because they used to be so great! Hopefully they can...
Read moreI recently visited Js Kitchen in Sierra Vista, Arizona, and I had an amazing experience trying their Sisig with rice and Halo-Halo.
The Sisig was cooked to perfection, with a perfect balance of crispy and tender pork mixed with tangy and savory flavors that were simply delicious. The dish was served with a generous amount of rice, which complemented the Sisig very well, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.
As for the Halo-Halo, it was a refreshing and delightful dessert that perfectly complemented the savory flavors of the Sisig. The combination of shaved ice, evaporated milk, sweet beans, fruits, and ube ice cream was simply divine, with a perfect balance of sweet and creamy flavors.
Overall, Js Kitchen is an excellent restaurant that serves authentic and delicious Filipino cuisine, and their Sisig with rice and Halo-Halo are must-try dishes. The service was friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend visiting Js Kitchen for an unforgettable...
