KFC — Restaurant in Sierra Vista

KFC IN SIERRA VISTA IS LOOKING UP,, NOT BECAUSE THE FOOD IS ANY BETTER,, BUT BECAUSE OF THE EMPLOYEE HE HIRED. WE ALMOST DIDN'T STOP BECAUSE OF THE SERVICE WE HAD RECEIVED TIME AND TIME AGAIN FROM EMPLOYEES THAT DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FOOD. THEY,,, THE OWNER DOESN'T GIVE VETERANS A DISCOUNT AT ALL, HE IS A FOREIGNER WHO CAME TO AMERICA ONLY TO GET RICH AND LIVE THE GOOD LIFE. HE IS A LEGAL CITIZEN, HE HAS TO BE, TOO OWN A BUSINESS. BUT HE DOESN'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT THE SOLDIERS THAT FOUGHT AND DIED TO KEEP OUR COUNTRY FREE SO HE HAS THE RIGHT TO LIVE HERE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE HARDSHIPS SOLDIERS HAD TO LIVE WITH TO KEEP OUR COUNTRY THE BEST IN THE WORLD. THE OWNER PAYS AS LITTLE AS THE LAW WILL ALLOW. HE GIVES HIS EMPLOYEES NOTHING. IF THEY WANT A SODA,,, THEY PAY WHAT YOU AND I PAY,, NO DISCOUNT AT ALL. IF THEY WANT LUNCH OR DINNER GUESS WHAT,, THEY PAY JUST LIKE A CUSTOMER PAYS. HE HAS NO APPRECIATION FOR GOOD HONEST EMPLOYEES AT ALL. HE LIVES AND RUNS HIS BUSINESS JUST LIKE THEY DO IN HIS COMMUNIST HOME LAND. IF IT WAS SO GREAT THERE WHY DID HE COME HERE. WISH HE WOULD GO BACK,, BUT OF COURSE HE WON'T CAUSE HE CAN'T MAKE THE MONEY LIKE HERE AND THE BENIFITS HERE ARE SO MUCH MORE HERE. ANYWAY WE STOPPED TO SEE IF THINGS CHANGED AND THEY HAD NOT EXCEPT FOR ONE THING,,, A DARN GOOD EMPLOYEE,,, A YOUNG BLACK LADY WITH A SMILE THAT SAID THANKS FOR COMING IN AND SPENDING YOUR MONEY HERE. OF COURSE WE ASKED IF THEY GAVE A MILITARY DISCOUNT AND OF COURSE SHE HAD TO SAY NO SIR,, I'M SORRY THE OWNER STILL WON'T GIVE IT. SHE ADDED I'M SORRY I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I APPRECIATE YOUR SACRIFICE YOU GAVE FOR ME TO LIVE IN THE GREATEST NATION IN THE WORLD. I THANKED HER, FOR HER LOVE OF AMERICA AND THOUGH's WHO FIGHT AND DIE FOR HER FREEDOM. THIS YOUNG LADY WAS SO POLITE, SO CURTIOSE, I HOPE SHE CAN FIND A WAY TO FIND A MUCH BETTER PLACE TO WORK. IT IS OBVIOUS SHE HAD VERY GOOD PARENTS WHO TAUGHT HER LIFE. SHE DID EVERY THING THAT SHE COULD DO TO MAKE OUR VISIT A GOOD ONE. IN GENERAL SIERRA VISTA HAS MOSTLY POLITE CURTIOSE EMPLOYEES WHERE EVER YOU SHOP,, FROM HARDWARE STORES TO HAMBURGER PLACES,,, BUT FROM KFC, SHE IS THE ONLY ONE WE CAN SAY THAT ACTS AS IF THEY LIKE THIER JOBS. SO IF SHE IS WORKING SHE WILL MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME, IF NOT YOU'LL LEAVE SHAKING YOUR HEAD SAYING I'LL NEVER...

This KFC can never get stuff right, you order ahead for fresh hot wings, 10 min cooking time, show up early and they still give you the ones in the warmer. Today they are out of hot wings until Monday. Couple days ago, no honey mustard. I guess no body cares cause it's the only KFC in town so they know we will keep coming back! This is my 1st review about there problems because after 10 yrs of coming here hopefully somebody will read this and get this place together. See you guys next week

Well, I'm back again! 2-20-16. Called 30 min ago for 20 fresh hot wings and they forgot to drop it. Just waiting out front, what else to do but edit my review. See you next week right

This KFC sucks again. They made it a point to start cooking HOT WINGS fresh to order. Great job, but today about 7:15-7:30 pm I called in 10 hot wings. I don't know what or who can't understand 10 fresh wings. I got to the drive through to pay, asked for Honey Mustard and they said they don't carry it anymore. I get home to eat my wings and sure enough they were just refried. I'm not a Hot Wing expert but when KFC is a household name for 20+ years in my life and your brother used to manage one you become to realize it really is one of the best Chicken joints out there.

How I know it was refried:

KFC Hot Wings are not extra crispy after 10 min of cooking time, they do not look dark and shrunk.

I've never wrote a review about any other place because usually you can just take your bad experience and go to the next KFC, but not in this town. Nobody till this day has the courtesy to reach out and fix a bad experience or even replied back to me. Everyone is online and easy to find. My name is not hidden. What it comes down to is people just don't care. I don't know what the employees eat after work but I know they would want a good meal too especially if you called it in. See you guys...

After seeing all the bad reviews, I was curious if it could really be as bad as folks complained of... so I decided to go in, expecting a real possibility of poor service, dry chicken, etc.

But that's not what I experienced. Other than a brief delay in someone noticing I was there (the person who was meant to be up front was off doing some cleaning tasks, it seems, but the person running the drive through noticed fairly quickly, and called their attention to it, and that was the worst if it), the service was courteous, considerate, polite, and, frankly, prompt (beyond that first delay). My (admittedly simple) order was ready... I think before I'd finished putting my change away. Certainly before I'd had a chance to fill my water glass.

And the chicken was hot, fresh, and moist. Granted, I got dark meat, which is harder to make dry, but it was fresh and hot and up to the best if KFC standards.

Maybe I just got lucky. I must admit to wondering, though, if there isn't something else behind the poor ratings from others... a bit of bias, maybe, or rude treatment being met with the same in response, or something.

I was certainly treated well by everyone I interacted with, and the food was just what I'd expect from any KFC. So............ yeah.

(I'd take off a half star for the initial delay if I had the option, but it doesn't seem worth taking a whole star - the restaurant was empty when I arrived, and soon closing, so entirely reasonable to me that someone would be preparing for close. And it was only like 45 seconds or something, I think, so... hardly a...
