I invited my friend to lunch yesterday to try My Place again. My previous visits had been before 10 am for the breakfast. i am 56 and disabled and my friend is 59. As usual we were greeted with just sit anywhere you like. We arrived at 1:00 pm. A group of 8 ladies were just finishing their meals as we got our menus. We were hurriedly given our ice teas then the owner(our server) said I be back for order. after stopping to chat and joke w a patronfor 7 minutes, she ran to the register to be cashier as the table of 8, and 2 other tables were now in line to pay and leave. 15minutes later, she returned asking what you like? i ordered the spring rolls as i had never tried Vietnamese food on my check. Asking her if they were good first. My friend holding the menu up to her asked if he could not get garlic toast rather just bread and butter w the Sirloin tips over egg noodles he was ordering pointing to the dish OFF THE SENIOR MENU. our food came up quickly. my spring rolls were hot cut into 2 inch pieces making 10 pieces not 10 spring rolls.i took a bite crunchy warm then the overwhelming aftertaste of old crabmeat so fishy i almost got sick. I asked the owner If I could get something else instead as the taste was unacceptable. She curtly replied Yeah you pay for new dish too! My friend had to ask her to reheat his tips and noodles as they were served to him lukewarm. So much for doing all you can to ensure customer satisfaction. I ended up not eating anything for lunch. I paid my check. She followed me back to table my friend asked her politely why the price was $2 more than what he ordered on Senior Menu. The owner yelled at him calling him a liar saying he ordered regular portion and had to pay it.She is a greedy rude cheapstake of an owner to insult senior citizens over $2. I left only drinking my tea and my friend only had 4 bites of his meal saying only the brown gravy and white bread had any flavor. Her attitude lost 2 customers for good.
Also, my first vist was over a year ago Mai. The women's rest room is still out of order, the swamp cooler not on it was over 82 degrees in restaurant and many chairs are in need of repair. Your greediness has made you unpleasant, short staffed with less than mediocre food. Maybe it's time you moved on. do some job \ in a cubicle where people skills...

Read moreIm spoiled with all kinds of great flavors from the San Francisco Bay Area. Ive had trouble finding a place that i really enjoy until today. Wish i took the pic before we dug in. But wow. We destroyed everything. I had beef tips over egg noodles which will probably be my go to item from now on. Also had fried rice noodles with chicken and my son had the chicken strips and fries. The strips taste home made. So juicey and full of flavor. The rice noodles with chicken were pretty close to my mothers filipino dish, pancit. Love that i can get a burrito, or some breakfast, or some Pho', or asian bbq pork over rice, some Vietnamese coffee? What? I was worried about getting my Cafe Sua Da fix in SV, but they have it and im so happy. This was one of my late grandfathers favorite places in town and now i know why. Please excuse the mess. It...
