For a place that is seemingly loved by so many, this place sure is disappointing and depressing. The prices are insanely high for the very small amount of food that they give you. Just the two of us ended up being nearly $40. I ordered a fish and shrimp basket, two pieces of fish, and 6 pieces of shrimp. The two sides I chose were just fries so I could share with my kiddo. I received the two pieces of fish but only have three pieces of shrimp. Two sides of fries is... ten fries? I got exactly ten. My husband asked for the chicken and fish basket, one piece of fish and two pieces of chicken (my oldest doesn't like fish, so he wanted the chicken). His two sides were to be hush puppies and fries. He did not receive the fish at all and, instead, was given two pieces of chicken, a single piece of shrimp, and four hush puppies (the meal already comes with two). As for the fries, he was handed double the amount that I was, but all are wet like they've been sitting in their own condensation too long and completely unedible.
Luckily, (or so we thought) we had ordered an order of clams. The total in the box is seven. Seven tiny slivers of undercooked batter.
We asked for extra sauces since we would be sharing both meals. We received one of each tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. We were loaded up on ketchup, though, a condiment we specifically said no to when asked if we would like any.
We have been in the car trying to get home for more hours than my brain can comprehend at the moment. We were tired, hungry, and glad to be almost there. There was more cost tied into the Styrofoam containers and the plastic bag than there was in the amount of food received.

On 10-24-23 we were celebrating our 52 wedding anniversary.,We ordered to go the supreme platter? And a separate order of popcorn shrimp and also clams. They got the order wrong we found out after driving to a park. They forgot to give me the popcorn shrimp and hush puppies on my Supreme order. They dumped the two side orders into my supreme order too! I had ordered a side order of hush puppies too but they failed to give me those too! No plastic ware either! Everything was over cooked and greasy! I called manager Marvin and he said he would replace the order. I returned to the store and he took my receipt and refilled the order… this time they forgot my popcorn shrimp and my regular shrimp too! They just gave me 2 pieces of fish and hush puppies! They did give me the two side orders though! Everything was way overcooked and very greasy! No plastic ware again. This place used to be great but this was ridiculous! I suggest if you get an order to go that you go inside and once you receive your order take each item out and and inspect for quality and correctness in your order. I am 71 years old and yes I am just an old man trying to make ends meet by taking my bride for a cheap but hopefully good dinner. Believe it or not, we drove 40 minutes to get to this LJS, which was a LJS/A&W combo restaurant.
Where have they all went? It's like a fog drifted in & all the LJS restaurants disappeared overnight.
Anyway.... We both ordered the fish & chicken platters which included 2 fish fillets, 3 chicken strips, fries, & 4 hushpuppies. I know that's a lot of food, but the plan was to order big, so we would have left-overs to take home since we had to drive so far to find a LJS. I believe we each paid around $10 for our meal, drinks were extra with free refills (refills free w/dine in only)
The cashier was nice, friendly & (most importantly) got our order correct. Everything was cooked to perfection & we shoved the food in as fast as we could. 🙂
