This is hands down my favorite place to eat in Siloam Springs! The food is absolutely fantastic, it is authentic which makes it even better - never disappoints and the family that owns it is wonderful too! The best part is the menu on the counter with pictures of the food as you order. It makes it so nice to know what you're getting and it also helps you to try new things, I eat with my eyes first so I've tried more things here than any other place I've been! You can't go wrong with the sample plate they have with several items to try at once.
I haven't had anything from there I didn't like - their loaded tacos are probably my favorite. I love the regular Mexican street tacos, but the loaded ones are just amazing - I get mine with spicy pork and they have Lettuce, tomato, cheese, avacado slices and an amazing salsa on top. You can either get a plate of 3 tacos or 2 tacos with rice and beans. They're incredibly delicious!
Their tortas are also delicious! I had never had one before I went to El Rancho and now every one I have anywhere else is compared to these! It's a Hispanic sandwich made with torta bread, Lettuce, tomato, avacado and Mayo. The BEST ones are with chicken and chorizo.
Other favorites - the guacamole is AMAZING, their sopes (best ones in town!), their flautas, their fajita meat plates, their burritos, their tostadas... you name it, theirs are so good! Our daughter even gets the fried tilapia which is literally just a whole tilapia (eyeballs and all) fried to perfection and served with rice and beans. It isn't something I would have ordered looking at it on the menu - but super tasty nonetheless!
It's a great place to eat for lunch or dinner. Very inexpensive and family friendly for sure! The food doesn't take long at all, so if you're there on a time crunch for lunch you should be good - but since they're so tasty, sometimes it can be...
Read moreUpdate: I've been back several times since my initial trip and the service has always been super friendly and the food is still just as good as the first time.
Stopped by recently for the first time and was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. The torta was huge and the tacos I got were fantastic. Unfortunately, the service was definitely not the friendliest. I asked a couple of questions and the responses were not friendly and made me feel like I was stupid for asking. I'll definitely be back to give it another try as like I said the food was...
Read moreI got 2 chicken tacos at about 3pm on a Tuesday. Oh goodness, they were so well-filled, hot, the chicken perfectly flavored and pulled apart, the green sauce, onions, cilantro and lime super were just perfect on top. Only criticism was the tortillas stuck together and ripped, making it hard to eat and the limes were a little dry. Both of these things were not enough of a deterrent to prevent me from getting a second helping of 2 more amazing tacos. So, expect to get satisfyingly messy, and load up on limes if you like that kick to your taco....
