Siloam Cafe LLC — Restaurant in Siloam Springs

I've only been here once, so what you are seeing is just a rating of one trip. On the menu, it had chicken fried steak. Great, I really like chicken fried steak dinners. I asked if they use a frozen patty like from Sam's or Walmart or did they make it from scratch. The waitress left and came and told me it was a pre-made patty they purchased. Well, scratch that one. Then I asked for the biscuits and gravy. I saw that their menu listed sausage gravy on some items but only gravy on the biscuits and gravy. So I asked if I could get the biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy instead of cream gravy. She left to check and came back with yes they could. Okay. Fast forward 10 minutes and she came back with biscuits with cream gravy. I flagged her down and reminded her that I had asked for sausage gravy. She apologized and said that was actually for another table, then picked it up and set it on another table. Then she brought out another small bowl of cream gravy with a chopped up sausage patty plopped on top of it. This would make it cream gravy with a side of sausage, not sausage gravy. So, 1 star for the food, 5 stars for the service because she was very sweet, attentive and patient with me and 3 stars for atmosphere because it was a nice little cafe. Small town diner with a new fresh attitude, white and pale blue interior, cute actually. Very noticeably clean. Eclectic mix of clientele. Those drawn in from road, or visit, town folk, some old male "salts" with long gray beards at a table telling retirement stories. Sadly had a water leak from roof and a bucket on floor for collection, but forging on n making do with the situation. Very good food, large portions, fresh standard diner fare at moderate average prices. My waitress, bubbly, gregarious, 40 something-ish, caring. Worked her way up to waitress in the kitchen. They back their town people, hire women, people who want to work there, and earn their way "in" and are proud to say it. They are a team. It's a hole in the wall, wasn't real busy took a bit for the waitress to visit our table, ordered our food, came out in a timely manner, my scrambled eggs were a flat omelet, I mentioned to the waitress I wanted scrambled eggs not flat eggs and she said something I couldn't understand then said maybe next time I said then I'm not paying for it she said let me get my manager, manager never showed we went to the front manager says yes I owner too I explain to her what happened she said ok but you order it I said I know but I told the waitress I didn't like it and would like it fixed she said no basically so I'm not paying for what we didn't want she said yes you will I said ok and walked out.
