Manzanita Ridge Furniture Antiques — Local services in Silver City

Some thoughts re: very negative review left 2-weeks ago. Manzanita Ridge is a unique store serving a niche’. They are very well priced for outstanding merchandise. They are high volume, very busy (open 4-days week). I have been shopping these guys since 1st visiting Silver City in Oct. 2017 - been in their store easily 15-20 times. In EVERY visit I have seen these guys treat us, and all customers, only with total respect & courtesy. Always. The proprietors are folksy, humorous, and very engaging in our experience. I have had occasions, like described in the negative review, where something I was looking at was sold “out from under me” to another buyer. I was disappointed - but, he/she who puts their $$$ down 1st should win. What is the store to do - tell a buyer that someone else is also interested, so until they state their intentions, you can’t buy it??? Come on. Anyway, we think this is a terrific store owned/managed/run by top-shelf guys. Not saying this other reviewer was wrong; rather, that their experience was totally contrary to our experiences. There is so much really awesome stuff here. I got a nice little computer desk and a chair at a very affordable price. I came back to pick up the desk with my car, but the lil Hyundai Elantra was not getting that thing in the trunk. I was going to just carry it up the hill to my place with my partner cuz it was a small desk and we’re staying just a few blocks away. But the guys who work there just threw it in the bed if their truck and took the five minutes to deliver it to us! So nice! Parting with your heirlooms is hard. Everything has a memory attached; it's all valuable beyond price. So when I realized that some of what I'd brought with me when I relocated here just had no place in my new little house, the question came up of what to do with it all. Asking around, friends and some businesses all pointed me to Manzanita Ridge. After talking with Dave about my treasures, I sold him the lot: chinaware, glassware, silverware. He offered a fair price for the pieces, and even came to my house to pack it up.
