It was a nice warm busy day and I had been to this restaurant before especially with the previous owners and we sat at the table outside on the corner they brought us some water took our orders and we never saw him again and we sat there and chatted not thinking of anything and watching other people getting their food and eating and leaving and we sat there an hour and 20 minutes we sat there finally my mother says well let's go and about that time my wife went into asking what was wrong and they came with our plates and asked if we wanted to go inside so they brought everything inside we sat down at the table and they took off left us with no napkins no utensils or anything so then I guess the owner comes over and asks us what was wrong and we said and he apologized and then walked away. had observed him the whole time sitting there laughing with his cronies while the staff was running around like they were chickens with their heads cut off observed him sitting there laughing with his cro had seen him sitting there with his friends laughing all the meantime we were just sitting there drumming our heels I one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to service the staff was just running around like the chickens with their heads cut off doing...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Silverton for some antiquing and decided to stop by for a quick lunch. Unfortunately for us, it was not quick at all. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was friendly, and we got seated right away even though it seemed like there was a lunch rush. Once we were seated, it took about 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Again, it seemed like there was a lunch rush, so we didn't mind. While we were waiting on our food, the crowd dissipated fairly quickly, and there was only a handful of tables left, with other couples. We ended up waiting for almost an hour until our food arrived. I ordered the daily special, and my husband ordered 'the logger'. Both meals were potatoes and eggs, so there isn't any reason that would take an hour to prepare. The serving sizes were fairly large, and the food was good, but the wait time to get the food ruined the positives. It took us about 15 minutes to eat. We contemplated leaving multiple times throughout the wait but decided to wait it out. Unfortunately, the taste and size of the food doesn't make up for how slow it was prepared. TLDR, don't waste your time, and go...
Read moreWon't be back. Went for late morning breakfast and the place wasn't full. Waited at least 15 minutes before being approached to take our order. Besides my food order, I asked for coffee, waited about another 15 minutes and when it arrived it was barely warm. I'd asked for 1/2 & 1/2 for coffee but was brought Coffeemate and then had to wait longer for real cream. Waited even more for food to arrive, and it was just ok but needed lots of salt to bring out any flavor. "Sourdough bread" seemed like just regular white bread. Several times I wanted to find someone to find out why things were taking so long, but workers were nowhere to be found. Was approached at one point about whether I wanted more coffee - yes - and waited 10-15 minutes for it; they said they only brew big pots so it takes a while. I asked them if they were understaffed and they kind of indignantly said no. Don't come here if your time is limited and if you're not long on patience! As far as atmosphere, it got really loud - not sure if it's the acoustics of the place or if really loud people frequent there. In any case, it was a less than...
