Horrible, from A to Z! I'll point out only few of the things. 1. Wait time to be seated. We were told about 40-45 minutes. We have been seated after 1.15 h. All this time, 5 tables have always been empty/available. 2. Took about another 15-20 minutes to be asked about drinks/water and get the menu. Surprise! One sheet of paper for 3 people! When I asked for more menus, she said they don't have too many and she will try to find somewhere. Finally, we got 1 more. Looks like this is restaurant policy (see picture attached). 3. They ran out of everything we asked...two different types of steaks and other things. 4. Finally, I took a steak. The waiter forgot to ask me how I like the steak. I called her after 5 minutes to tell her about this, she even didn't care about this, no apologies, no nothing. Told her I would like to have the steak medium rare. 5. Our food got to us after a 30 minute wait. My steak was COLD and RAW, the meat was nothing but fat. I told the waitress and she said she can take it back and warm it up in oven if I prefer. I told her it's not only about the cold meat also that the steak is RAW, then she said: "Ok, I can throw it on grill! ". No - this is not a way to "fix" a steak! You are not a restaurant to sell a "$10 steak" to fix it in oven or reheated on grill. I was expecting more from this kind of restaurant. We also ordered a burger, cooked well done. Meat was very fat and cold and cooked rare. I wanted to speak with the manager and they said that the manager is to busy right now. 6 Same time, at a table near us, the customers over there were complaining about cold and uncooked meat (some chicken). The waitress took the meat, heated in oven and brought it back. Same disappointed/unhappy face and gestures from customers. They finally just decided not to eat it. 7. If you order to- go, be aware about the 15% fee they add to your bill !!!!!!

What a little goldmine this place is!!! I had a fantastic time here from the moment I walked in. I am from the Boston area and felt the warm, southern hospitality the moment I sat down, with a nice big welcome and smile by the bartender, Rebecca. I tried to come here the night before on a Saturday, but it was swamped with people waiting outside. Boy was it worth the wait for a nice Sunday dinner! I had the to-die-for pimento cheese dip (crushed the other half in the hotel room later that night) and the blueberry balsamic glazed pork ribeye with the jalepeno cheesy grits. *DROOL* But the small town atmosphere is what really got me. I chatted with Rebecca all night (what a lovely bartender and woman!), and she gave me the scoop on how the place was a locals spot. I got to see Miss Martha in action talking to the TV during the football game (made me chuckle a few times), and I ended up chatting with a couple of nice ladies by the end of the night. I really felt the warm energy here, and the food being superb was a pleasant surprise. Oh, and the prickly pear marg was on point! I had three. ;) This was just what I needed after a long day of Spartan racing. Outback has got nothing on this place! Thank you, thank you to Rebecca for the excellent service, and to ARIZONA Steakhouse for making my weekend. :) If I am ever back racing in Newberry again, you know where I will be going!

Our experience tonight was beyond bad. My friends took me out last night for a celebration. One ordered Salmon and it was undercooked. The other had the chicken tenders which were dry. I had the sirloin and it was Tough. I had to stop eating it cause of how tough it was and spit a piece out on to my plate while the waitress watched. She never asked how the food was. When she come back to the table she asked if we would like dessert. I said no the food was horrible to which she just started laughing so I asked for a manager and she kept laughing and asked do you really want a manager. Im not one to complain to a manger just the opposite if I have a great server I actually let their manager know how good they are. When the manager come to the table I asked her to look at our food and asked if I could speak to her in the breeze way cause I don't like causing a scene. I explained about our food and how the waitress started laughing when I told her it was bad. She apologized and said some of the customers make jokes like that. I told her the waitress was looking at me when I spit my piece of steak out I'm not sure how that could be taking as I was joking. The manager apologized. We have been coming here for about 6 years close to 7. Tonight will be the last night as this was a horrible experience.

Had the same experience as Jackie Woods that also left a review about that %15 gratuity. $19.00 for 3 chicken strips which was supposed to have one side but the server put me down for two after I changed my order to 3 strips one side. And not the full platter with two sides. The original price is $11.00. I emailed the MOD or the owner dont know which. I was very polite and very detailed. She replied back with a very nasty attitude. And she accused me of being a liar. Talked to me like I was stupid. Told me my subtotal was not $11 because I don’t under understand the menu and taxes I’m assuming. I have it all in email. Her server did not explain to me that there was a gratuity for take out. I didn’t look at the entire menu. They expect you to know. She told me I misunderstood the menu like I’m dumb and can’t comprehend. And this is the person that runs the place. There should be a nice laminated note at the front where people can see and not assume they will see it on the menu. She told me I added an extra item. I told her I did not and I know I didn’t. She replied back “yes ma’am you did” how rude was that? No the server didn’t take the extra item off when I got a cheaper meal. She tried to offer a coupon as if I’m unable to pay for my food. I didn’t want her coupon or any hand outs from them. I will never give my money to that place after that conversation with that lady. If I hear a soul mention eating there I will save them time and frustration and send them to a better professional restaurant. Change your attitude lady when speaking to customers especially calling them liars in an email. The food maybe good..I don’t know. And will never know…but with the negative energy in that place I wouldn’t eat a bite out of there. Good luck to anyone...

Good food....but beware the service, especially if you have an event there. Service does not live up to the steep guaranteed gratuity and fees. Hosted a birthday dinner in the private dining area, which requires a minimum tab of $500 and automatic gratuity added of 26%, plus hospitality fees, according to the contract.

  1. Was ensured by the coordinator that some sort of dinner music would be playing in that room--- none was playing.
  2. toward the end of the meal, I went to get a lighter for the birthday candles. When I came back to the table, the lead waitress was handing everyone their checks, even though only a few had requested them. (I suppose wait staff convenience over rules patron courtesy)
  3. it was then that I also discovered that a waiter had taken my prime rib dinner away that I was only half-way done with and had wanted to take home.---when I asked the lead waitress where it had gone, she half-heartedly asked if I wanted her to "try to find me another piece of meat" (I declined since it was obvious she was not really interested in doing so---and didnt even apologize for the error)
  4. I also asked her if the staff would be able to assist me with cutting and serving the sheet cake that was displayed on the cake table. She said they could just bring me a knife and plates. None of the wait staff could even help pass them out when I cut the cake--- my 11 year-old daughter did it for me.
  5. once the checks had been paid for by my guests, there was virtually no service in that room. The staff that was so happy to bump up the bill in the beginning , was done now that their guaranteed 26% tip had been paid. Needless to say, I was very...
