We made a reservation via priceline months in advance for two double beds. When we arrived we checked in and went up to the room to find a single king bed. We went back down and spoke to the front desk and they said that was the only room they had. I showed them the e-mail from priceline where clearly it was for two double beds (because there are four of us) and they said sorry they can't do anything. So we went back to the car and searched around and unfortunately (I guess because of the displaced people from the hurricane?) not a single hotel in 50 miles had an open room. So we went back in and asked for extra blankets as the kids were going to have to sleep on the floor (which is obviously not ideal). The front desk clerk was at least willing to give us some extra sheets and some bed covers (with holes in them for some reason). Given the price, and quality I give it a solid 3ish stars. It's a fairly old hotel with lots of aging. Plenty of super bright LED lights outside. Sink had a crack in it which appeared to have been patched. Toilet paper was stuck into the peep hole of the door (from the people before us I guess, we didn't touch it). The outlet by the microwave is coming out of the wall. Sound proofing is not super great (per most hotels). The water pressure was good. The had a waffle maker during the breakfast time, cereals, some bread for toast, some yogurt. Sometimes we just try to save too much money when staying at hotels. This was one of those times. I think it would have all been a lot better had we received the room we had reserved, because we hated to put the kids on the floor, and they didn't sleep well for it, which means we...
Read moreThis is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The lady I checked in was great! She was very sweet made sure I got what I wanted a smoking room down stairs. When I got in the room their wasn't an ashtray, there wasn't an ice bucket, there wasn't even half a roll of toilet paper, and the sink was dripping underneath so the floor as you walk into the bathroom to take a shower was completely soaked. I had to use the 2 towels that were in the room to dry to floor. I went to the front desk with the towels and gave them to the woman that checked me in and said can I have 3 towels so I can put one under the sink so the floor doesn't get wet again and I fall and asked if I could have an ice bucket and another roll of toilet paper. She said sure no problem went and got that and brought it back to me. I went back to my room with no problem. I stayed there for 3 days. When I went to check out I told them that the sink was dripping so I didn't get charged like I did it to the sink. I also told them there wasn't an ice bucket not much toilet paper either and that's not acceptable at all. And they wanted to tell me I was lieing to them try to make them give me a refund then they wouldn't give me my $100 deposit back like it says on the counter at the front desk that it's $100 refundable deposit when you check out. They wouldn't give that back to me. I told them thats not right at all. They told me they didn't need me to stay there that they get enough customers. They were rude to me and very disrespectful. I don't recommend anyone staying at this hotel. This is the worst place I have...
Read moreI had to clear our my son's room on 2ed floor after I was told that they would pack it. I received a call in my handicapped room at 430pm informing me I had until 1100am the next day to remove their stuff or it would be going to dumpster. I climbed up the steps to find 2 ladies in the room with a bag of trash and room was in turmoil. Things were missing from their belongings. I was sitting in a rolling chair the chair rolled out from under me I fell causing an injury to my sciatica nerve. I ended up in er two times and now seeing another Dr. The management told me they didn't know what my son did to the chair. The chair didn't have arms on it and was like that when they checked in. I used the microwave in my room and when I removed the bowl the glass turner came out and shattered. I reported this and asked for a first aid kit because I had cut my foot on the glass. The front desk person couldn't find a kit but had 2 bandaid. If my son had not come by I could have been in trouble as it had nicked a view and blood pouring out. He stopped the bleeding with duct tape. The next afternoon after 5 I was Informed i had to leave for destruction of the room. Management was very rude I personally saw them trying to make leave at 11pm at night with a 2 year old and no car it was cold. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as long as it has...
