Please see the bottom for my reply to owner's response
HORRENDOUS SERVICE!!!!! Pizza is okay, reminds me of the Chef-Boyardee Box Pizza. Nothing you would willingly pay that price for if you knew what you were getting ahead of time. This is obviously why they make you pay before you get your food. Subs are TERRIBLE!! Meat tastes like it's spoiled or out-of-date and when I asked to exchange it for something else, the owner asked why and when I told her, she replied "It's a sub, if you didn't like it then you shouldn't have ordered it." (As though I could predict their use of less than fresh ingredients!) I told her, fine, I'll pay for something else, but my advice is that it is better to exchange food if a customer isn't happy than to lose their business in the future. And I tried to order spaghetti. She said, "Are you sure you want to order anything else? Because instead of spaghetti, you may end up with SPITghetti." I told her that it sounds like she needs a visit from DHEC and she said she doesn't care. To sum it up, the owner of this restaurant takes your money and doesn't care about what happens after that!! Stay Away!!!!!!
REPLY to restaurant's "response": FIRST OF ALL, LET ME BE CLEAR - Free food was the farthest thing from my mind. That is laughable. I simply asked to exchange a child's grinder (sub) for something else because the meat was spoiled. I never asked for anything more. "Amy" even told me that they were not a national chain that could afford to trade food every time someone didn't like something. I wasn't asking her to give me anything more than the fresh food that I thought I was paying for. Even the tone of their response gives a hint of the terrible attitude of rude, unethical people who own this struggling establishment. And the vandalism story is completely fabricated! I can't believe they would go so far to try to make themselves the victim. Are you kidding me?! There was probably no vandalism, but IF there was it was from a different unsatisfied customer, not me!! Check the reviews from all 3 locations - all owned by the same person - Most of them are complaining about the nasty and rude disposition of this "Amy". I laughed out loud when I read them call her "delightful", I assure you, that word will never once come to your mind when dealing with her. You will also notice that none of their restaurants are never full or even half full. They are not excelling as a business, merely surviving, because they are too focused on trying to get money and not concerned enough about food quality and customer satisfaction. I spent $40 on lunch there that day, and spend about $150 a day on lunch and dinner at restaurants, never do I look for free food!! I don't need to - if I could not afford to eat out then I would eat at home. Note that I offered to PAY for more food, just so my child could have lunch that was edible, which is the opposite of seeking free food. They are the ones looking to take your money and give you rancid deli meat in exchange. The owner acted like a literal psychopath when I suggested that she worry more about customer satisfaction than a $4 child's sub!! I mean she went CRAZY!!! She yelled and threatened to tamper with the food if I bought more. I am a regular customer at many restaurants, and this is my first negative review. This was my first time eating here and they do not have to worry - I WON'T BE BACK!! And neither will anyone else who wants good food and good service. If you don't like your food, you're stuck with nasty food - they refuse to make it right and THAT is the issue here, despite them trying to turn it around on me! Further, I later found out that I left my debit card there and when I went to retrieve it, I was told that the owner had taken it out of the store and had it with her. I have never heard of such unethical behavior. The only pathetic person here is the owner who had to make up lies in their response in order to cover for "Amy's" shockingly rude and unstable behavior that day. Now...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I love bellacino's food they're Italian grinders are great I've ordered them many times. Tonight when I went to pick up my online order that said it would take 30 minutes to be ready I arrived and was told that it would be a few more minutes and 25 minutes later I received my food. After I got my food I asked the lady at the front to speak to the manager to let them know the discrepancy between the online time and the actual time. She told me "I'm sorry the manager's not in". I said "well I wanted to let you know that it took 55 minutes to get my food and the online said it would take 30". Just providing information for the business to know there was a discrepancy between the two. I was then told all the reasons why it took longer: there was a truck, they were inundated with phone calls, they are short staffed, etc. I told her I just wanted to let you know that there was a difference. She proceeded to get irritated and start telling me that they don't have any control over what the time says online. I explained that it is your system and maybe that would be something that you would want to take a look at. At that moment another man behind the counter told me that "I could get out and have a nice night." And I looked up and he said "I'm the manager we are already having a bad night you can get out have a nice night. " I then said "she told me the manager wasn't in". And she said "I thought you wanted to speak to the owner." I asked "why would I want to speak to the owner I just wanted to let you know that there was discrepancy between the times" and the man told me "Yes I've heard you four times now you can get out."
I really never ever been treated so poorly at a business establishment no matter where it was. This would not have gone any farther if I was told when I arrived 30 minutes that we are short-staffed and this is going to take a longer time than just a few minutes. Although your food is very very good. I will not be returning to this place of business because of the way that I was treated I know one person is not going to create a financial hardship for you. But I believe people should know how you would...
Read moreI asked to bring in a party of 15-20 and was told that was too much trouble, too time-consuming, and required too much clean-up. I've been managing restaurants for over 20 years, and if one of my managers had that attitude, they would no longer work for me. I would send them to this sorry place!
I am posting this in response to the owner's response: I wouldn't reply to her response if it wasn't a blatant outrageous hypocritical lie. Her response in denying us to celebrate our son's birthday party was, i quote "we do not tie up several tables on Friday evenings for birthday party groups that enjoy relatively prolonged celebration. It's simply our policy...." On the night in question, I had to go up to the restaurant to see if any of my child's friends (whom I didn't have numbers for), showed up to tell the parents of the change of venue. When I pulled up, I noticed that there was an entire section inside to the left of the doors, that was sectioned off for a party. I thought to myself, surely that can't be when the owner told my husband and I that wasn't "policy". Then I saw people going in, to that section, bringing A LOT of presents to "celebrate" a family christmas party. I know this because I asked a lady as she was bringing in more gifts. When I left, there was at least 20 something people at that "prolonged celebration", with tons of gifts. Reader's know this, one of the excuses the owner gave us was that to have a party with pizza, cake, and gifts" took up too much time and space." I'm sure that the owner will have some sarcastic response to this based on her responses from my husband's post, and other unsatisfied costumers. The food maybe good (that's why my son picked that place), but you can only go so far on crappy custumer service. Do you really want to go somewhere with a...
