First of all, everyone I talked to was super nice so this isn't a bad review on anyone in particular. Food came without an extra sauce we ordered (not a big deal) and there was little to no seasoning on the wings (also not a big deal). The real issue was that our food was over an hour late and there wasn't even a discount given on the order. I called and apparently one of their drivers got a flat tire. I get that stuff happens so I thanked them for everything. But then it took another 30 minutes after the call and our house is 2 minutes away from the store. At this point I thought: no big deal. Stuff happens. Orders can't always be perfect. They probably had to remake the pizzas. We will just get the order free or at least heavily discounted and forget this ordeal ever happened. Nope... The manager apologized but still charged me for the full order. He did put a coupon in the order. It was 50% off a single item on my next order and can only be used on specific things. So basically a coupon worth maybe $3. Am I missing something here? I've never even heard of another pizza company messing up that bad and not refunding the order. I would've been fine with the pizza not coming at all due to automotive issues as long as I know ahead of time and can get a refund. That way I can go out and get food elsewhere way sooner. I'm genuinely curious if any other delivery company has still charged the full amount after something like this? Domino's gave me a coupon for 100% off my next order (under 30 or...
Read moreToppers is awesome, and personally, I far prefer it to all the other in-town pizza chains (including Marco's). Great selection of their famous must-try side, "Topperstix," (I recommend the bacon - seriously!!) as well as a fun menu that is sure to leave the family both full and grateful. Also, their boneless wings are super yummy, and left me feeling both very good and very full (yum). Paired with the pizza, they really shine. Try the hot honey if it's available!
We've made a weekly habit at gametime this football season ordering Toppers, and we keep coming back for more (SKOL VIKES!!!). Their special house pizzas are so new and refreshing compared to the same-old, same-old. Just find something you like! Take advantage of their deals, and the quality of the (real Wisconsin) cheese is second to none. Although competition may be fierce for that "uber slice" here in town, Toppers is most certainly worth keeping in mind if you ask me. The classic style and flavor make me nostalgic for the times you could get a great pizza down the block without breaking the bank. To me, that's called carrying-on an American tradition and keeping it real (what it should be about!)
Thanks to the whole Toppers team for showing how...
Read moreUpdate: the owner offered to make things right, and I contacted them, but they haven’t responded. Big surprise. I gave them one more chance, and the meat made me borderline sick (not to mention there were hardly any toppings on it). My verdict: not worth it. The pictures on their website are deceiving. Go get some Little Caesar’s.
The toppings were good, but the crust wasn’t cooked all the way (some areas were still doughy) (I ordered the tallboy crust), and because of that, it had a metallic taste that kept me from even finishing it. Me not finishing a pizza is unheard of. The last time I had Toppers (a few years ago) the toppings weren’t cooked enough to melt even the cheese all the way (they were in the form of tiny cubes). This was my second attempt ordering from them (hoping that things had changed).
I don’t understand this place. All you need to do is cook the pizzas enough until everything is cooked. But for some reason, this is too hard for them.
For that reason, I probably won’t...
