Visited first time to this restaurant last night (Monday, MLK Day), hence not busy. Service: Server came quickly, but didn’t return for approximately 10-15 minutes. Saw numerous other workers there, just shooting the breeze, unconcerned for their patrons. When server came back, order was taken. Very quickly, I was served my fajitas. After digging in, I realized I was served the incorrect fajitas…I specifically pointed on the menu to mixed chicken/beef-I received just chicken, and there was plenty…too much to be honest, for one person. Typical 3 tortillas, but very small. I think it more appropriate, for the price, to have more shells and less meat. I know they want you to order more tortillas to get more $…which is inappropriate for a more expensive Mexican restaurant. When waiter came back 10 minutes later!, I was able to explain wrong meal was delivered- to which they offered to bring me new meal. Thanks, but by now, I really am out of time for a new meal. Then I inquired why no avocado, and would you have any sauces? Reply: we don’t serve our meals with avocado! Yes, we have sauces. I am astounded they don’t have avocados! After silly discussion and what sauces they do have and what I would choose, both bottles were provided…why not just provide them when the meal was first delivered? That is the service I experienced. For a little pricier Mexican restaurant, service was not up to what one really should expect. Food: The flavor of the chicken fajitas was not! Absolutely no distinct good flavor! Very plain. I have had fajitas at half the cost at other true Mexican family owned restaurants, and experienced wonderful flavors. The rice as also flavorless and dry. Very disappointing. I would choose Qdoba over this restaurant any day. The only thing they have over Qdoba is beer. In that note, their selection of beer is simple and typical. I today’s culture—increase variety of craft beers is a must. I have attached a picture of my leftovers, but doctored up with cheese, sauce and an entire avocado ($1 addition) and plenty of sour cream…their small dollop was underwhelming, to say the least for a $22 meal. It was excellent—just imagine if they spent a little more time and effort on service and food flavor and less in quantity—this review would be entirely different.

1st Dining out experience of our trip. Got sat and forgot about...should have know it was an omen of things to come. 2 other tables in our section were sat, greeted and served drinks before the busser realized we hadn't been greeted and said something to the manager. Server came over and apologized and took our order. When the food came out, they brought me the wrong items. I ordered steaks and shrimp fajitas and they brought out all chicken. Ethan ordered two enchiladas and a soft taco. He thought the taco would be soft fried like around here and the enchiladas were made with corn tortillas not flour. He also asked for lettuce on the side but they didn't bring it. I finally got the right fajitas but they were over cooked. On top of it there were only 4 shrimp but alot of steak. No further apologies fir the forgetting us or food mess up. Didn't do anything to try and make it right! Do not recommend this place!

I wasn’t particularly thrilled that our waiter disappeared after rushing us after we got our food. Once we were finished he didn’t come back for about 20 mins. Too busy talking to the young lady server. The Fajitas were basic..Shrimp tails left on. Semi small shrimp.. no taste or seasoning. I didn’t necessarily taste anything. Beans were basic also. Flavorless. Pineapple wasn’t even grilled. Peppers over cooked. Just bland. The Water was obviously tap water. I much rather go to la fiesta azteca than come back here. This was my first and last visit unfortunately was not impressed nor would not pay $18 for something I can get at Gilberto’s for $10. Lots of room for improvement tho.

We have usually had the best luck here. In the past, like a year ago, we used to have great food & service. Not the case today. We arrived at 5 pm. There were 3 of us. The service was absolutely awful. Our server had a definite attitude problem. Once we ordered, 20 minutes later, we asked for more chips & waited an additional 15 mn for them. They were not that busy in the restaurant. The chips were stale & chewy. The second basket of chips were a few warm ones mixed with old, cold chewy chips. The margarita was so strong I couldn't drink it. Our food arrived 25 minutes later. Very disappointing. The plates are usually hot, ours were not. I ordered the chicken chimichanga, it arrived not hot at all. Usually, in the past, the chimi was deep fried & had a nice crunch. This was not fried at all. More like a burrito. My husband ordered a skirt steak burrito, also room temperature. Both meals must have sat in a window for a long time. Our daughter specifically asked for 3 hard shell tacos only. She got a full plate with beans & rice. She made the comment just let it go or it will be another 30 mn. Not once did the server check on our table. When she came with the check she still had attitude. Would not recommend this place. Do yourself a favor & check out Puerto Viarta for better Mexican ...

Ok so the date is Jan 22 2023 and the time was 6pm. Me and my mother have not been here for 1&1/2 years so we decided to give it another try. Upon getting here I said we have not been here for a year what has changed and there reply was nothing has changed. So red flag number one right there. I ordered a stake bareto smothered and a tea. Straight forward I figured but it was nothing like it was described by the menu. It was dry, sauce was caked on top as if old sauce. The rice and beans and jalapenos where old. Definitely old. My tortilla was raw. Waiter was rude... Oh and the price was that of fine dining 68$ for two main course meals and an appetizer. However it was not fine dining. Even a little Gross. I would compare with Gilberto's but that wouldn't be fair to Gilberto's. They have better prices, fresher food and the're a fast food Mexican restaurant. My mother also got sick three times. We called to speak to the manager to report food poisoning and was requested to call back tomorrow because manager had left. Stay tooned. Short and...
