I'd say good for drinks and fries... Didn't even get a menu, had to look it up on their website. They promote they're home of the elk and bison burgers so we each got one to share and try both. My burger was completely burnt on one side, and the other burger was way over done. Only redeeming thing about them is being super cheap for those meat types, but we love bison and elk and were hoping they'd be half way decent if they're advertised all over the place. Also when we ordered food the waitress acted put out. The best part of the food was the fries, I would go back just for those and possibly try some other food items too. Since the prices are so good here I wouldn't be devastated to have mediocre mozzarella sticks and whatnot. The one time the waitress seemed to be on the ball was when my beer was almost done but instead of asking which one I'd want (I always like trying different ones and had the next one picked out) she came up with the same one pre poured and I can't really say no at that point... I mean I guess I could have but I got the vibe that if I had I wouldn't want to be drinking what was in the next one. She also closed us out early and ' forgot' to print the receipt but instead of going to grab it while we filled out our portion she hovered to see what the tip would be. Needless to say the mild intimidation resulted in a decent tip to avoid problems. The next waitress seemed really nice and actually brought menus to customers and knew about the specials and what came with the food items, etc. I feel like if we had come for dinner an hour later than we did then most of the complaints wouldn't have occurred or could have...
Read moreWe came in from out of town the first night ordered food and then came and picked it up. The food was decent however, the beer cheese for the pretzel was completely cold and somewhat frozen still. Came in a second night being December 30, 2024 at 5:15 PM & after trying to finagle my way through to the register (due to very little walking space and people blocking the aisles, which is understandable to some respect), I then asked the woman at the counter near the register if they were still serving food. She wouldn’t even look up at me and just told me I’m getting off talk to her and nodded her head in the direction of another woman who is cleaning tables I continued to wait for the woman to finish cleaning the tables and then as she walked around to the bar area with myself still standing there patiently waiting, not even acknowledge for a single second. The other woman that was, “getting off“ clearly saw me standing there, and did not bother to even tell the other woman that I was waiting, even though it was pretty obvious even to the patrons who also noticed the dismissal. After waiting approximately 15 minutes longer, I departed the area realizing that a single person was wanting or willing to provide service for the only other female inside & with minimal patrons and myself being the only individual standing in line waiting. I would recommend that if you’re reading this, and you are the owners that you provide your staff with a little bit of etiquette. I never leave bad reviews, but this one...
Read moreCame here for dinner our first night in Sisters and it was open when others weren’t. So we got fed, neat place however when staff is whining about drama and coworkers in front of you and eating while taking your order, ruins the atmosphere! Food hygiene is questionable too, the guy cooking would go out to smoke and would come in smelling strongly of cigarette, although he’d stop and talk to see how you are doing which was nice, you could smell it. I never saw him wash his hands and knowing he had been smoking and talking to people I’d question the hygiene of food handling and preparation. The bartender had no clue of what beers were on draft, I had a good beer but she didn’t know what it was so couldn’t buy if at a store. It was also unknown of any food questions and other drink options. The banter between employees and drama as well as eating in front of us while taking an order was a big impression setting part of the experience. This is for sure a dive bar with potential to be much better. The drinks my girlfriend had were mediocre and also unknown of what was made since bartender didn’t know exactly when we asked. Was an interesting experience overall, we chose not to go back the remaining of our visit in Sisters. At the end, we never got a bill, the bartender just told us a number and expected a card. Seemed correct but I have never not received a bill before to ensure all is correct. Just paid and...
