Arby's — Restaurant in Smithfield Township

The cashiers have always been friendly and helpful, the restaurant has always been clean, and the the food's been good.

That being said, this location has consistently been out of primary menu items as well as the majority of the promotional items.

When I submitted a complaint about this I was called by the store manager who was very short with me and told me "It's not my fault, I'm doing my job", blamed the owners, repeated that they were doing their job, then hung up on me without offering any form of solution.

These issues have been ongoing for months now and I have been frustrated each time but overlooked it each time as I do enjoy the chain. I can only imagine how taxing this is on the staff.

Edit: Arbys guest support did email me regarding the review and provided me with two free sandwich cards, which I appreciate. It's nice that the company is trying to respond to issue adequately, I just wish the response from the manager hadn't effectively been yelling at me for submitting...

The female manager of Store 8786, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania was very attentive to the customers, and showed consideration for us & the other customers in the restaurant when there were potential food issues. She made sure everyone discarded their old sandwiches that may have been undercooked/at risk of being unsafe to eat, and brought us new food, and made sure the orders were as they should have been. She went above & beyond and appeared firm with the rest of the team when mistakes were made. I really didn’t want to give a star rating because I didn’t get food, but the guy at the window was so nice, despite the fact that he’s probably fighting for his life with every order, having to tell people they’re out of almost everything.

I figured I could get a Diet Coke but they’re out of that, Coke, and Dr. Pepper and who knows what else. That was all I tried to get. I got a Sprite. Whatever, I like Sprite. I know they’ve been out of a ton of food items lately, too, though.

Not sure if this is a supply chain issue or a management issue, but it’s going to tank their business if they don’t get it...
