Wendy's — Restaurant in Smithfield Township

10:28am on July 20th 2024. We stopped in as a group to get a quick lunch and a rest in the rest room. Manager and staff decided to be unpleasant, disrespectful and cursed at the end of this visit. We not only did NOT order anything at this visit we got the vibe we were NOT wanted . The lobby was "closed" and when we went in they yelled at not only the adults but the teenagers we had with us. The doors were unlocked but "signs" were not visible. So employees decided to lock our teenagers in the lobby?!?! So my husband ended up unlocking the door inorder for us to exit! So then we tried to go to drive through to order and asked if lunch was being served and they said yes we could order but outside Menus were not changed. And we do NOT order from wendys on a normal so we have NO clue what to order without menu. So the man that was trying to help us, was answering us , but whomever that was clearly irritated from the lobby being closed and locked in. Was running their mouth and cursing to where we did not get serviced! Awful staff/management. Went somewhere else....

We went through the drive-through to save time as we were on the way to a meeting. When we pulled up to order, the clerk said, "Just a moment, I'll be right with you". We sat and waited for about 5 minutes before they took our order. When we pulled up to the window to pay, the lady apologized because "things are a little crazy right now". Eventually they gave us our drinks and food, confirmed that we had everything, and we started pulling out. Just about then we realized that we had not gotten any straws for our drinks. We now pulled into the parking lot. And upon checking all the bags we found out that we also needed a frosty. So now my dear husband had to go in the store - all the which we were trying to avoid - to get straws and a drink. They were not very apologetic. I took my mom here after an appointment. I am usually ok with eating here but not today! I understand short staffing but that doesn't mean you don't take the time to do a job well. I ordered a taco salad. I got a spoon to eat it with and the lid wasn't on my chili so it spilled in the bag. My moms burger was ok but her fries were half cold and half crunchy. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

Edit to say a few weeks ago by and I give it another chance. Pull up to the drive through and spend $30 to get the wrong food! You can't go in so you have to go back in line and wait to get it fixed! I don't have the time to wait 30+ mins for someone to do their job correctly! I rarely post this type of review but if these people feel they deserve $15 an hour they should at least care about and be able to do the job correctly! I...
