El Jimador Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Smithville

Favorite restaurant in town! We are here for to-go orders at least 2-4 times a week. They have the best salsa I've ever had, amazing guacamole and cheese dips, best rice ever, and wonderful plates. The price seemed a little high on some of the plates before we ordered looking at the menu, but once we ordered that was explained. The servings are large, and it is 100% worth the money. I can order and eat on my plate 3 times before it is all gone. They have great customer service, and are very friendly. We've never had a single complaint with their food or service. I ordered on Door Dash. When my food came we found that they did not include one of our kids dinners. I called the restaurant with the intent of providing our receipt and going to pick up the food they forgot. The owner of the restaurant basically called me a liar and said it was not her fault amd that I got what I ordered. I then said fine, I will report it on Door Dash but my kid still has no dinner. I asked her to make another kids meal and of course complained I have to go through hoops just to get what I paid for. I came here a few weeks after opening and it was amazing. I’ve also been here 2 times after that and enjoyed my experience. Today was terrible. The chips are so STALE! Bean dip is all cheese and no beans, my quesabirria that’s always been served to me with rice all of a sudden doesn’t come with rice??? $11.99 for 3 tacos is ridiculous and I never would’ve ordered it if I knew it didn’t come with rice ( which it has the last 3 times I’ve went ) and on top of that my birria tacos are not good at all.
