I ordered from this restaurant via Grub Hub. It was only my second time ordering from the app and I wasn’t quite used to it as yet. I usually order with Uber Eats and choose not to tip before hand, opting to tip after delivery is made as it affects my generosity. I’m standard 15% tipper and go higher for exceptional service; it’s only fair since sometimes I’d get orders, cold, wrong, or dare I say spilled and inedible (rare). My order from this restaurant arrived ten minutes later than anticipated (it was a 70 minute anticipated wait, fine by me I was in no rush). What appalled me was the behavior of the driver. This was the rudest, most hostile delivery person I have EVER encountered. With my food in his left hand and the receipt in the other, he angrily told me that I did not tip. Unfortunately he speaks broken English and I wasn’t able to tell what he was saying exactly, so I kept saying “I’m sorry sir, I don’t understand, are you asking for a tip?”. I then explained to him that I usually tip after I receive the service. He became increasingly agitated, and started yelling “no tip, no food! No tip, no food!” all the whole becoming more agitated and quite frankly making me feeL unsafe and uncomfortable. I told him fine, if that is their policy I would prefer not getting the food and would be filing a complaint. He angrily a few more sentences to me that he said too fast for me to comprehend, thrust the food towards me, and walked away.
I complained to Grub Hub, who after several escalations (frustrating), refunded me in full. At first, Grub Hub did not want to take responsibility for the driver because this restaurant has their own drivers and thus it was the restaurant’s delivery person who behaved unprofessionally. But afterwards, they agreed with me. The restaurant however never contacted me to apologize. In regards to the food I received, it was overcooked.
I wish I could give this restaurant a “zero” star review, but alas, here I am with a one star. DO...
Read moreWhenever I order american chinese food, I always choose China Chen. The food is usually great as well as the service. Today I ordered chicken and broccli w/ fried rice and a six piece lemon pepper wing lunch special along with an order of crab rangoon. I arrived back to work, gave my coworker her food and opened my meal and everything looked great per usual. I ate two wings before I realized I needed some ranch dressing, so I opened my department's mini-fridge, dabbed a bit of ranch on my conatiner and peeled a piece of chicked off the bone and began to dip it into the ranch. Before the chicken entered my mouth, dripping in ranch, I noticed the chicken was still pink. I ripped a part each piece of chicken only to realize they are all uncooked throughout. I was a bit worried considering I already ate two pieces. I called China Chen to explain the issue, the woman I spoke to said their chicken is always cooked thoroughly (which I agree, Ive never had a bad experience, food or service wise). She asks me to bring the food back. No problem. I took picture as well. I told her that I would bring the food back tomorrow and she laughed in my face. Im at work, Atlanta is prepping for a snow storm therefore my main object after I leave work, is to make it home safely tonight- not to return uncooked chicken wings to China Chen. I just thought it was extremely rude. China Chen served uncooked chicken wings and laughs at their customer when the customer chooses to return the food they PURCHASED at their conveience given the conditions of the roads are worsening. Oh well. They lost a customer. Not that they care as Im sure they have many more. Just thought this was...

On my quest for Asian cuisine I stumbled upon this restaurant, quietly tucked away in this mini strip mall. The outer appearance is quite deceptive, leading one to think this establishment may only host a few families at most, but once you enter you’ll find yourself in a spacious restaurant with dim/warm lighting and ambiance that modestly reinforces the culinary specialties.
Being one of two people in the restaurant during a midday meal, my service was quick. The staff were attentive and checked in quite often, but not an overwhelming amount.
I ordered the hot and sour soup. Which yes, was both those things, and held a great temperature warmth for a while. I then ordered what I remember to be the lunch special beef vegetable stir fry and was thoroughly pleased with the portion and the flavor. If you take your time and enjoy each bite you will have enough leftover to take so home. I also ordered a vegetarian meal of eggplant and rice for my family members, and they spoke highly of it.
They have staff that can also assist you si tú hablas español. I look forward to returning and having...
