I just had the most bizarre customer service experience of my life. I started my order by ordering a burrito and asked her to make it supreme and she immediately interrupted me to shout "You mean add sour cream and tomatoes?" I didn't want to be charged individually for sour cream and tomatoes, it costs twice as much as the supreme uprgrade even though they are the same thing. So I told her there is a button for making the burrito supreme. I didn't mean anything by it, I wasn't trying to be condescending, but this lady took this response -extremely personally- and amped up her weirdly hostile energy to about a 1000. I then clarified that I only knew this because I've worked at taco bell before, and I genuinely thought that would diffuse her weird angry energy but that made her more angry...? I had my kids with me and absolutely did not want to argue with this lady, who was clearly having a bad day and needed someone to take it out on, but she felt the weird need to argue and shout with everything I said. For some reason, she felt the need to shout every ingredient in every item I ordered as if trying to prove that she really knew the menu and didn't need me to tell her there is a button to make items supreme... which, again, just weirdly hostile. This was all taking way too long and I really did not have time for this. My husband has a very short lunch break and I was trying to surprise him with lunch. I finally told her "We do not need to have this conversation. My order is blank, blank, blank." And pulled around to the window. When I got to the window, she told us they weren't serving us and to leave. I didn't even say anything, I just couldn't believe it. This was all so weird. She handled everything so badly. She was clearly stressed out and frazzled and her manager should have pulled her off the window and had her take a break or something. If she was the manager, that is much, much worse. I left without saying anything, called corporate and asked them to review the drive thru footage at that timestamp and see what they thought of that interaction. I ended up getting an apology from -corporate- and a giftcard, but that doesn't make it right. I should have gotten an apology from the store manager or whoever...
Read moreCommitted two food safety violations in one visit. I ordered through the app to pick up at the drive thru. Not very welcoming when picking up my order, but that didn’t bother me. They forgot one of my burritos, so I went back to the drive thru and had to wait behind 5 cars (again, not a big deal). When I got up to the window, the order taker didn’t believe that they forgot something and asked for both of my bags. Be then proceeded to go through my bags and actually open up the packages with bare hands. He then handed the same bags back to me after giving me my missing item. In addition, he handed me another bag full of tacos, which I told him was not mine. So, he said to give them back, which I did and can only assume he gave them to the car behind me. I asked if he could just cancel my order s I didn’t want the food any longer, and he said it was an app order and he couldn’t do anything for me. Needless to say my wife and I threw the food out as we weren’t going to eat it after the cashier touched it with his bare hands just because he though I was trying to pull a fast one on him! Apparently, they are not trained on any food safety. I’ve sent an email to the department of health and hope this place gets shut down or gets some new employees. I have ordered food here during the day and it’s always good with good service, but they apparently bring their D game with...
Read moreBasically, the staff was rude... we went through the drive thru to order 45 nuggets.. thats 2 orders of 20 and an order of 5 (sure it's a lot of nuggets but it's not like an insane catering order) the staff immediately said it would take 4 minutes and we said it would be fine... they then asked us to come inside to place the order instead. We had little ones with us so we told them we would prefer to order through the drive thru.. then someone else came on and basically said they were on a timer and wouldn't take our order through the drive thru... we told them we were comfortable ordering and paying at the drive thru and would pull ahead or to the front to wait for our food as to help them fabricate their timer scores (it's seems like all the taco bell locations are always trying to manipulate their timer scores these days) but they said they couldn't bring the food out.. this has never happened to me before at any taco bell location... other locations have asked us numerous times back up and run back over the timer wire or immediately take the money and ask to move the car to the front door which I don't mind doing because I know corporates metrics for what constitutes efficient service is ridiculous but to have 2 different people come on and more or less refuse to take an order at the drive thru is just flat out bad customer service (also to add no one else was in the...
