Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Vinings

I came to this location on my lunch break today and this would be my 2nd and last visit. I encountered a young lady who has colored braids in her hair and short in size. I’ve ordered from Chipotle multiple times and even worked for the Chipotle in Akers Mill during my time in high school. So I’m very familiar with how to order, now here’s the unfortunate miscommunication that turned into a lame encounter with the manager. The young lady who started my bowl off asked if I wanted beans after I said white rice, I said “ I do but I want some more rice” she proceeded to grab the handle for the beans as if she was going to put the extra rice on top of it. I snapped my finger towards the rice to catch her and said “no can you put the rice first” she got so hung up on the finger snap but had she been proactive and slowed down to listen before she reacted she wouldn’t have to be corrected in the heat of the moment. She then continues on with whatever irrelevant stuff she was talking about so I asked the woman next to her to make my bowl. She asks what happened, I explained to her and she goes and says “this is my sweetest employee I’ve never had an issue out of her” I told her that was cool but that was the encounter that just took place that you inquired about….. she tried to keep talking and say oh this is how you’re suppose to order. I mean obviously so I just stopped her in the middle of talking because I truly didn’t wanna keep hearing this wack excuses and asked her to finish my food so I could leave. Here’s where it gets lame and kinda funny, she (the manager who finished my food) ended up getting an attitude about the encounter and when she finished she pushed my bag away and huffed. It’s not that serious, any adequate manager would have just made the bowl and kept the line moving, this not high school and it’s not an argument I just wanted extra rice not extra mouth… I get everybody has their days and she clearly look like she’s had a hard go of it with them black eyes or super dark circles under her eyes so I mean hey that’s whoever stomping you out at home thats who all that extra lip should go to not a paying customer who just...

I've lived in the area for 7 years and had lost hope in the area Chipotle locations. Cobb Pkwy used to be great but went downhill (immensely) in the past 3 years. The Paces Ferry location in Vinings was unfortunately horrible since day 1 with poor staff, customer service, mobile order fulfillment time, and salty food, etc. So although it's the closest to me I will never ever return there. And with that...I was ecstatic to see the new location show up on S Cobb Drive! I told myself that if there's a problem at this location, it's in fact the district manager that's the root cause of these issues... 🧐

I placed a mobile order for pick up (at S Cobb). I was happy to see that they not only have designated parking spots for mobile pickup, but they also have a drive through window. I decided to test my luck and pull up to it -- There was no signage that mentioned mobile pickups, but there also wasn't an area to stop and place a drive through order in advance. I figured, it had to have some relation to my pick up meal. 🙂 I pull up and am quickly greeted. My meal was in close proximity. Nice and prompt customer experience. ✨

I get home and check out my rice bowl. Everything looks okay aside from the fact that the corn salsa was made with a larger than usual amount of jalapenos. I'm not a fan of spicy food and had to pick most of them out. My meal was also on the colder side. My cheese never melted. I had to place it in the microwave in order to eat it.

I'm now ready to eat and not having any issues, when I all of a sudden bit into what felt like a wood chip...! I get it out of my mouth and learn that it's an extremely hardened piece of chicken. Like...hard hard. Wood chip hard. How does this happen?? I ultimately find smaller pieces of the overcooked meat, as well. I eventually stopped eating it halfway through. I didn't feel like eating with caution. Had I not found this issue the bowl would've been a 4.

Ultimately, I've come to my own personal conclusion that yes. This location is also under the same district manager. Especially when reading the other reviews of inventory and customer issues. It's unfortunate, at Chipotle's...

Worst chipotle in the south!! To be a new location it’s embarrassing and a poor reflection of the brand. Some of the staff are rude and lack professionalism. On both visits I had a bad experience and won’t come back for a 3rd time. I visited this location maybe 2 weeks after they opened. The line was extremely long for the time of day and I quickly realized what the issue was. The staff ran out of essential items due to lack of preparation. There was no rice, no chips no pico, and no dressing. We were told it would be another 10-15 mins for rice. Many people left but I decided to wait. I took into consideration that it was a new location/new team. I should’ve left. By the time I placed my order I was told that they didn’t have brown rice which is my preference. I settled for a lack luster meal. I observed that the dinning area was dirty especially the drink area. My second visit was 3 months later. I placed a pickup order at 9:30pm and realized that my order was wrong. I went inside and explained that someone made a mistake. I was told to get in line! I asked for a refund. Another team member stepped in and made my bowl. The lady that told me to get in line rolled her eyes when she handed me my bag. I submitted my complaint to chipotle online and came to google to leave a review. A 1.5 star rating on google is what I discovered! Wow this is embarrassing. You guys a worst than camp creek😂! If a new management team doesn’t step in this location will not make it! People will not spend money here we have plenty of options. The consumer is in control! Tighten up or shut it down! And to the lady that rolled her eyes, mam I pray daily for patience. It’s clearly working because I did not react to your behavior. You should be careful because everyone wouldn’t have handled you like I did. Folks are unhinged out...
