This place is ridiculous. The food is gross and bland first off. Secondly the service is rude. My step dad is allergic to jalapeños and just so happens in his chimichanga there was jalapeños. He didn’t touch his food and the manager took away his plate so he sat and ate chips. When we asked for the check we also asked for his food to be taken off and explained why. The server proceeded to argue they were bell peppers not jalapeños. No where in there menu states peppers in their chimichangas. Also me and my brother being in culinary/food industry for years know the difference in peppers. She said “okay” and brought us the check unchanged. We went to the front to pay and the manager (who had taken my stepdads full plate) was cashing us out. We told him that the meal needed to be taken off and explained why. He also insisted they were bell peppers. We told him that no matter what he hadn’t eaten off the plate and he also took the plate. The manager then laughed at us and said “okay”. Customer service is an important aspect in a restaurant and they didn’t handle things as they should’ve been handled. We won’t be returning and advise people with allergies if you go to this restaurant be aware...
Read moreThe food was decent but watch the amount you are charged. We started to order online and just pickup but there was no option to change the tacos to hard or soft so we decided to just order to go at the counter. The price was around a $12 difference from the exact same order we were doing online. We had him give us a detailed receipt and the prices of each item were all the same he claimed that it was higher because of a service charge and online was discounted. Then preceded to hand over $4 in cash and say here I’ll discount you on the burrito.. used to love it here, will not be back after this...
Read moreThis place used to be the standard for how good Mexican food should be when I was growing up. It was always packed and the food was always on point. I went back today for the first time in many years after moving away, and sadly things have changed. It was dark and empty inside and the best thing about the meal was the salsa. The food was just average and it took over 30 minutes to get it when there were only like 3 other tables in there. Everything was bland and lacked the flavor that made Cozumel "the spot" to get Mexican food back in the day. Sad to see what this once great...
