So we have lived in Smyrna area now for about 20 years. I have seen this sub shop for years, but just yesterday actually ran in to get a sub. Places like this are the quintessential “mom and pop“ store. You can obviously tell this is a family run business, as everybody in the store seems to be family! The ladies behind the counter are so sweet and attentive. It’s the kind of place with tons of Southern charm where you’ll be addressed as “honey or sweetie“ which always makes me smile.
While there, I could tell that there were a lot of regulars that were coming in. They have a small section where you can eat in, but it is small. I ordered the classic Ruben, which was grilled, and tasted great!
Overall a very nostalgic experience with great food. I hope they stay in business for many...

Maybe it's because they shave the meat on the meat slicer in front of you but it tasted so much better than any of the other big chain sub shops. I heartily recommend Sub Station II in Smyrna Tennessee.
Well there I did it, I've eaten at substation II a few more times since I originally reviewed them. I'm really happy to say the food just gets better. I think I've kind of learned my way around the menu and what add-ons I like in the sandwich but it's obviously the best subs I've ever eaten in my entire life,...
