So we have lived in Smyrna area now for about 20 years. I have seen this sub shop for years, but just yesterday actually ran in to get a sub. Places like this are the quintessential “mom and pop“ store. You can obviously tell this is a family run business, as everybody in the store seems to be family! The ladies behind the counter are so sweet and attentive. It’s the kind of place with tons of Southern charm where you’ll be addressed as “honey or sweetie“ which always makes me smile. While there, I could tell that there were a lot of regulars that were coming in. They have a small section where you can eat in, but it is small. I ordered the classic Ruben, which was grilled, and tasted great! Overall a very nostalgic experience with great food. I hope they stay in business for many years to come!

My wife and I ate at substation II a few days ago and we're really impressed with the sandwiches they have there. Maybe it's because they shave the meat on the meat slicer in front of you but it tasted so much better than any of the other big chain sub shops. I heartily recommend Sub Station II in Smyrna Tennessee. Well there I did it, I've eaten at substation II a few more times since I originally reviewed them. I'm really happy to say the food just gets better. I think I've kind of learned my way around the menu and what add-ons I like in the sandwich but it's obviously the best subs I've ever eaten in my entire life, they're perfect.

Stopped off at my FAVORITE sandwich spot...Sub Station II in Smyrna. I moved to Smyrna in 1992 and they have always been consistent, friendly, and the sandwiches are made the way you want them. I'm partial to the Super Special #19 and I get extra meat on mine. You won't find a better Grinder anywhere around here!!! Donnie Ruffalo started something great back in 1975 and his family continues the tradition. Plus...not sure how they do it but my lunch of sandwich, chips, and a fountain drink is UNDER $12...gotta love it!

Definitely a wack place to get food from, won't be ordering again.

I ordered a Reuben on rye, a meatball sub, two hotdogs, and a BLT. The reuben and meatball sub was okay, reuben seems to have been panini pressed, but wasn't warm, not sure how the math on that one works out.

Then I open my "BLT" and it's literally just a white bread sandwich with a piece of bacon and cheese inside, nothing else. Only a little B and no L or T on my BLT for some reason lol.

But the craziest part of the meal was the two uncooked hotdogs that got delivered to me. Two fully dressed hot dogs. The bun is firm and still cold from sitting in the freezer, and the hotdog was uncooked. Why on earth would you even dress two stone cold uncooked hotdogs, let alone...
