The Bill Rhodes Bakery — Restaurant in Snellville

One word.............RACIST. I guess because my hair is kinky and isn't blonde, red or brunette, I received LESS than courteous treatment when I visited "Bill Rhodes" in person, to, so I thought, finalize customed cake/cupcake prices for my daughters College graduation party. Now allow me to say this, the day prior to going in person, I spoke with "Melissa" by phone, who was an absolute doll by phone. Melissa informed me she would not be there the next day but wrote up enough on my potential order we had discussed that whomever (cake decorator) I talked to "in person" could help me and pick up where she & I left off. Well........upon arrival, there were 3 females visable to me who obviously worked there, two were decorating cakes, one asked what I needed. (Not a warm customer greet) I explained that I had a pending order, I had talked to Melissa about the day before and was there to finalize it with price questions. (I had also emailed pictures of what I wanted) The snippy, short and very curt female who painfully took on the task of going over my order, made me feel as though this was a total inconvenience, made me feel totally unwelcomed & weird about even being there. There was wispering back & forth to eachother I guess about my order overall. After about 10-15 minutes of being treated poorly in front of the other two standing right there & witnessing this tense exchange, I asked if there was a manager on hand. Well......the "manager" ended up being one, of the two, who stood right there watching this rude girl in action, never intervened to attempt to turn this around and save the order or my overall experience. The manager "Kim" whom should be FIRED was totally aware and even cosigned this redericc. After conversing with her about what had just happened, she was just as curt, rude and immature. Very insincere to say the least. Needless to say, I never placed the order, and in the nick of time found another establishment who was happy to engage me, and provide service with a smile! 😊 Will never step foot back in this COLD non welcoming environment to people of color- Black...

I recently ordered my son a birthday cake from here and everything was horrible from customer service to the cake. I ordered my son cake in advance over the phone. I told them what I wanted and even sent a picture in. I went over in details which flavors I wanted. The cake was originally supposed to be made of a pound cake but they keep telling me they needed to make it from yellow cake to make it “easier” and wanted to charge me $180 for a nine inch cake even thought they didn’t have the items needed to fulfill my order. I had to pay in advance which is no issue.. only to get to the shop and they NEVER made the cake after I called days in advance. They said and I quote “ we forgotten about the cake give us 15 mins to bust you a cake together “ I asked before she started are you sure bc I had a very detailed cake, will the flavor I requested be there? She said yes. I get the cake and it was messed up. The writing wasn’t even where it was supposed to be. I cut into the cake and it was no where near the cake I paid extra for. I called to explain and the manager didn’t try to offer a Redo , partial refund.. nothing. Instead she fussed about not given no refunds or redos and processed to tell me they have the best cakes in town and nobody else dislike the cakes, when that wasn’t the main issue. The issue was I order a specific cake and that’s what I expected. She was so rude and unprofessional. My husband tried to talk to her as well and she fussed with him. She didn’t allow us to speak to the owner. She said my cake wasn’t messed up because she helped make it. Not considering the fact they had to rush and make the cake when I walked in,the name wasn’t correct, and the Flavor was the original flavors they sell when I PAID for...

We preordered our son’s 5th birthday cake from Bill Rhodes Bakery. First, ordering over the phone was easy and smooth, they were able to understand what we were asking and looking for. When we went to pick up the cake, everyone was so polite and helpful, you can see that the employees working takes their job serious. The details with the flames and even cuts of the layered cake, you can see they invest their time and quality. The cake was perfect and beautiful, we could not had ask for more. We enjoyed our son’s delicious, fluffy yet dense yet soft cake! We finally found a bakery that fulfill their promises and delivers high quality bake goods to their customers. Photos attached, excuse the candles, I added those before I took the photos; I was just too excited!!! The cake was so good, it was gone before the party ended! All our guest asked where we got our cake because it was so good. Definitely will be ordering from Bill Rhodes for all our parties!

My birthday was on 12/23 and my husband surprised me with the most beautiful cake I could ever think of. My name means Butterfly and my favorite color is Purple. This cake was so magical and everything I wanted!!!! Bill Rhodes Bakery took our breath away yet again!!

My grandfather’s birthday was on 12/10 and we surprised him with a custom Kentucky cake and he loved it sooo much he didn’t even want us to cut into it!! LOLOL!!!
