Ginger's Restaurant — Restaurant in Soldotna

This place gets a 0/10 for me and my husband. We are in town for our honeymoon and have traveled all over the Kenai peninsula and this was the worst service and experience we had. We got there and waited 5-10 minutes before even being acknowledged. We were seated and the place was pretty full. We are very understanding. We waiting quite some time for our order to be placed. We got 2 drinks and i was served a 1/4 cup of orange juice because they needed to make more. Totally understand that. More was made and i wasn’t refilled for about 30 minutes after it was placed in the fridge. We waited over an hour for food, the servers were on their phones taking photos of the line out the door while hot food was ready to be served, they were dancing around, we watched a guy go ask for things 3 different times, and we finally decided we will not be giving this establishment our money and we went elsewhere. I've ordered many times from this place and enjoy the food. However, I tried to place a take out order today, the exact same one I've placed multiple times before, and instead was forced to deal with stubborn stupidity. All I wanted to do was substitute some french fries in place of icky vegetables for my $20+ dinner order. They refused to do it even though any cost to them would be negligible.

I live within walking distance and honestly like their food but their refusal to accommodate such a simple request shows a total lack of awareness with simple customer service. Seriously? Subbing some french fries for veggies that I would throw in the trash is worth losing a customer? Not...

I enjoyed my food but the customer service kinda sucked on this Sunday I went. We were the only customers at the time and the server didnt take our order but the cook did. I can hear the cook in the back saying how I ordered a hamburger but then put cheese on it because it said I could add cheese. Felt as if they were making fun of me. There was a sign up saying they opened until 12:30 and we came in at 10:50 but it seemed like we were unwelcome there as if they were about to close. Its was a Superbowl weekend but if you didnt want customers then you shouldn't open. I dont know if we well be back. Ive been there before and the lady was so sweet but she wasn't there on this...
