Little Caesars on 17-Mile: Where the Pizza’s Half-Baked and the Hope is Fully Cooked

If there were a loyalty award for “customer most willing to believe in second (and twelfth) chances,” I’d be holding a golden Hot-N-Ready box. For over five years, I’ve been requesting my pizzas from the Cedar Springs Little Caesars well done—crispy crust, properly browned cheese, the works. And for over five years, I’ve been met with the culinary equivalent of “eh, close enough.”

Today, on a bustling holiday weekend, I gave it yet another try. The store was understandably busy, a blur of orange shirts and frenzied ovens. I appreciate that hustle—truly. Serving up pies while the rest of us are planning dinner shortcuts is no small feat.

But here’s the rub (and it’s not garlic butter): despite explicitly requesting a well-done pie, what I brought home was once again underwhelming—soupy toppings lounging on a crust that was more suggestion than substance. I’ve developed a whole post-pickup ritual at this point: tray it, bake it, finish the job so the dough doesn’t feel like it’s still dreaming of becoming bread.

Look, I’m not asking for wood-fired perfection here—just a pizza that doesn’t need a second round in a residential oven. If a basic order with a reasonable custom request can’t be fulfilled, even on a busy day, maybe it’s time to pause and recalibrate. The team clearly works hard—I just wish that hard work translated to consistently cooked pies.

Because in the end, I want to rave about the local Little Caesars. I want to sing praises about hot, crispy slices that solve dinner dilemmas. But until then, I’ll be preheating my oven… again.

My family and I tried to order a pizza and when we submitted the order we were given a message saying they could not place our order. We tried one more time and received the same message. Our card was charged even though we were told the order could not be placed.

My wife called the store and spoke with the manager. He refused to give us our money back and said the store owner didn’t like to do that. We explained it was an error on the apps side and we didn’t think we should be charged.

The manager we spoke with said he would give my wife’s number to the store owner and he would handle the situation.

When the store owner called, he said he had never heard of that happening and would reach out to the IT people to find out what exactly happened. He never gave us our money back.

I went into the store and spoke with the manager. I expressed my concerns and even said we would simply take a credit for our next order if he didn’t want to give us our money back. The manger denied me the credit and said he would give my number to the store owner.

It’s been about a week now and I have never heard from the store owner. HORRIBLE customer service. We still haven’t gotten our money back and I have not heard from the store...

I don't know I always thought little Caesars hot and ready pizza motto stood for ready and out the door? will today I waited more than 15 to 20 minutes for a cheese pizza 😱 and while asking once more if my order was ready I have my receipt and on it my name because apparently if your pizza is not hot and ready you must prepay so I give my name and the gentleman proceeds to take every box of pizza out of the oven and open them on the counter in front of me... I say if you have my ticket name what is the need to open each box of pizza? 🤷‍♀️ After all he says I'm sorry your pizza is not ready... So I wait as woman cashier comes asking you've been helped? No I'm still waiting here for my cheese pizza ... She goes back to the ovens and I don't understand because the pizza she handed me said Dave...
