My three star rank isn't because of one thing, but because of a multitude of things that individually aren't bad, but taken together, reduce the rank a lot. When I first got there and was seated, the first thing I noticed was that the booths were uncomfortable. You sort of sink into them with a harder part to the front of the seat that put pressure under your legs. If you have a tendency towards sciatica, the booths will aggravate it. Looking at the menu, I would say a lot of areas had limited selection. For example, there were a very limited number of omelets with none of the standard ones. I was debating between the ruben, Philly cheese steak and the sausage gravy on biscuits. I settled on the sausage gravy and biscuits with the added plate of eggs bacon and sausage. The scrambled eggs were on the dry side, which is the way I like them, but many people won't. The sausage in the gravy didn't have a lot of flavor. The biscuits were strange with a texture that was somewhere between bread and biscuits. I went to the bathroom and used the handicap stall because I use a cane and a handrail helps me stand back up. The first thing I noticed was that you had to fight with the replacement latch to lock the door. Since I can stand without my cane, I was able to pick up on the door and latch it. Someone who couldn't stand without a cane or was in a wheelchair wouldn't stand a chance. This got me looking around. I realized that the entire door assembly was damaged. I would normally excuse this because I wouldn't know when someone decided to swing from it and it takes a while for things like that to get fixed, but this got me looking around more. It looked like that, while they do mop the floor, they don't do a good, through cleaning. Look at the pictures I posted, but there is grime in the corners and around the toilet next to the one I used. The hand rail in the handicapped stall has some kind of brown stuff on it. No it's not poop, at first I thought it was just the chrome wearing off but it's in the wrong position for that. It looks like baked on grease which isn't likely. I've been trying to figure out what it is and decided it's likely grime from a thousand hands touching the bar. Overall the place looks run down. I'm not sorry I went, but I'm not returning. There are too many other places close by that I can eat at.

Absolutely awesome! Service was great, was able to memorize order and get it out to us with only one small hiccup. Brought out French toast instead of pancakes. Immediately corrected it then left French toast with us since they had to trash them anyways. That’s how to make happy customers in an error, which happens to the best of us. In my opinion, every store messes up orders from time to time but it’s how they deal with it/you afterwards and these guys nailed it! Every bit of our food was great after sampling 5 dishes (family of 5). The big boy burger and onions rings were amazing. We also had 4 deserts after dinner and they were very high quality and hefty amounts. Soooo worth my money I couldn’t believe it especially in today’s economy it was nice to feel bang for my buck again. We will 100% be going back. After reading some of the bad reviews from approximately 4-5 months ago it seems most all the complaints have been addressed and I witnessed them personally. One was about not being helped in the lobby. There was a gentleman standing in the lobby tonight that was asked if he needed help 3 times before my family even sat down. Another bad review mentioned poor food quality but as you read it was amazing. Another was poor service from wait staff that didn’t seem to care but they must have hired a new crew or something but all I saw was great attentive service from all 3 of the servers on the floor. Our server was fast with requests and very polite with my kids. I wish I got his name, started with a K. Another bad review was disgusting bathroom so I went to look and it was a clean up-to-snuff bathroom. New favorite place in town! Thank you Big Boy staff!

Classicn American food is correct. With the emphasis on classic cuisine and not on fluffy presentation it is the everyman's restaurant. Sticking with the normal size meals the price is right for a family. We spent around $50 for 4 adults and 3 kids. The kids portions were perfect size and the adult portions were good too. The restaurant itself could use a paint job and an update, but that would take away from the classic feel. Big Boy has been an an American staple for so long that it's dependability outweighs it's lack modern design. It is a welcome flashback every time we go there. The food captured the flavors I remember so vividly. The server ignored the free kids desert and made sure to avoid us when tried to flag her down, but made up for it by ensuring our allergic daughter had a safe and worry free meal. Overall everything was as advertised, and they maintained their historical flavors, which was probably why the place remains open and busy!

Terrible service, terrible management. I would never go there again after tonight. I’m not one to leave reviews, but this was the worst service I have had ever. We went there (me & three others) and two of them got there before us. The two before my boyfriend and I were served immediately etc, and when my boyfriend and I got there it was pretty slow. We didn’t pay much mind to it, besides asking where our waitress was.. we weren’t mad or anything and didn’t plan on getting the manager. We waited for about fifteen minutes and then were finally being helped. The manager was near when we were ordering with our waitress and SHE got her managers attention to admit to her that she completely forgot about our table. She told the manager herself that she forgot about us, and the manager offered to pay for our meals. By this time we already had our meal planned and it was ordered. While we were eating, both sides of ranch and fruit cups were forgotten. There was also hair in one of the salads, and the pasta was completely watered down. The manager came over during our meal and claimed we were taking advantage of her offering to cover our bills for the wait. (We already had our meals planned) She was extremely rude and disrespectful when we told her we were not terrible people and would not take advantage of her kindness.. (we also offered to pay for the extra food that we ordered). She then laughed in our face and stormed away after saying she would cover it all just this once. We left immediately after that and couldn’t stand to be there. One of our friends who was there to eat with us stayed behind to say that we were owed an apology and was laughed at, and was also told we were going to tip the waitress in sugar packets. We all agreed, regardless of the service, that we were going to tip the waitress well in case she was having a bad day. We did not choose to get the manager involved, nor did we ask for compensation. We just wanted to order our food, eat, pay, and leave. I would not recommend eating here, and I hope that the manager working the night of 6/11/21 at 8pm has consequences for the way she treated us. We will be following up with the...
