The atmosphere was good. No smoking. I was surprised they got the Mario cart thing. That was ok. The coins machine was not working. You had to pay the one dollar bill. I was excited before I tried it. I guess don't waste your one dollar on the game. The food was ok the Thai chili flavor chicken wings are the best. The mushroom burger was NOT good. 10 dollars for that was not worth it. Don't order that. Make a burger at home or buy a burger in McDonald's. Pizza was expected. Beer price was good. I was going to give this place a five stars but maybe at the end the waitor's fake smile kinda drop it to 3.7. He was nice to us until we paid. After we paid, his face was like " dont talk to me anymore" I understand that but too obvious and too soon. I would say the only thing stopping me to go to that place was that I would remember that waitor's fake nice smile. I know mostly people are just being nice to get our tips but that level of fake feelings kinda give me the sour feelings. When I walked in and sat down, I was surprised why the rating was not 5 stars. After one meal and reviewing other comments. I get it now. I think being successful restaurant in a small town. You either need to have one very good food or reasonable price or just wonderful service like Grandma's kitchen that kind. This restaurant is located in a good location in the town. If it wanted to be more successful, staff need to improve the food quality on top of this reasonable price.

I had a great time in Somerset, PA on a spontaneous Ski Trip to Hidden Valley Resort last weekend and TAILGATEZ was an awesome spot to stumble into for dinner and a drink - lots of space, great staff and plenty of televisions if you’re trying to catch a game 🏈🏀⚾️ 🤙 We ordered a Quesadilla (with Chicken) and both agreed that it was in our top 5 favorite of all time. Something about the way they marinated the chicken, it was absolutely delicious - couldn’t stop eating. We split the Italian Hoagie that was on their menu too and that was great, very flavorful, plenty of food, but could have been one thin slice of meat meatier 🥩 Zero complaints, all positive vibes. 🙏 Thank you for having us Tailgatez - hopefully we’ll be back again soon! ❄️🍻🎿⛷️

This place I liked a lot actually - food, atmosphere, location, etc were all great. The location was fine, parking was easy. The service I had was not up to par, as the waitress was interesting. Never said hello or introduced herself, somewhat pushy/demanding, tried to give my order to another table, forgot to bring my drink, and then when I left she looked at me and scowled like I was at fault for being there. The food was very good, no issues, and this place has a laid-back sports bar feel, with multiple tables to choose from, tvs all over, and not too loud. Overall, I would have given it a higher mark if it wasn't for the service.

June 2025 update! FIVE stars all the way! The properly prepared wraps are back and what a difference they make. Large wraps with shredded lettuce and cheese and the protein (chicken or shrimp) inside in random fashion making every bite a consistent yet unique flavor. Massive amount of onion rings, no upcharge for onion rings. Look at the pic I included.

$16.99 for prime rib Saturday special. With two sides. Big super fresh side salad with good dressing and a good size potato. I was shocked at the size of the prime rib for the smaller less expensive size. You can order much larger for a bit more. Wow. Great flavor. Nicely rendered fat. It was like they took rare prime rib then seared it in a salamander for a nice semi charred exterior and medium interior. Amazing! Part ribeye part prime rib at they point. And the price! How can they do it? Not sure what they sauce was in the cup but I'd put that on any meat. Especially burgers. Wow. I wish I would have taken a picture. It came out glistening. Are you hungry yet?!

Bacon egg and cheese burger with tons of fries $10.99. $10.99!! My son crushed that burger in minutes.

Our waitress felt like a friend. She's a pro. Never a want from the table. Very friendly. Anything you needed or wanted was taken care of. This is what people go out for! Great personality.

Good food, good prices, great atmosphere, and fantastic service.

This is absolutely in my top five now. I was a regular before things started to go down hill until 2023 when I crossed it off the list. I'm so glad I gave them another chance. They learn from their mistakes and have exceeded my expectations. They're back baby!!

Old review from 2023 Food was meh. Ordered 1/2 pound burger received an obviously frozen patty that was not 1/2 pound. Wraps aren't like they were before, finely chopped lettuce and all the ingredients mixed together and then wrapped ...no now it's a piece of lettuce then ingredients plopped on top. Waitress was rude, quick, short. Bud light was the first choice for drafts if that sways anyone to or from this place. Not worth the money tbh. A far cry from the great food sports bar I bragged about when we used to visit here often. And the reason we don't is because the quality keeps going down down down. Kids used to get their food on a frisbee with paper lined on top. Nope not...

Last night was a terrible experience for my husband and I . We have eaten here before and the service and food was great ! When we arrived it was slow . Actually only place anyone was seated was at the bar . The host was on the phone with someone . We stood there for 10 minutes . While the host chatted on the phone . Not a waitress in sight that whole time ! At no time did the host so much as pause her conversation to so much as to say I’ll be with you in a moment . Or go get an another waitress to seat us ! Absolutely no excuse for her terrible conduct ! So my husband looked over n just picked up 2 menus sitting on the table and was going to seat ourself. Which at that time 3 ppl come from out of the kitchen . One waitress approched my husband n he said will seat ourself n she turned and went back towards the kitchen .about 5 minutes later that same waitress come over to take our order .Our meal was served within 20 minutes . Our Fries were cold😩 .. now to make matters worse we realized at that point . We had no silverware to even eat our food with . Now I looking around for a waitress who can give us silverware not a one in sight 😡 i literally left the table and walked around the bar to the front where the host is . I asked her if we could have some silver ware .. which I noticed was kept in the host booth . She asked how many I said 2 she handed them to me . I politely thanked her n said we will never be eating here again .. we paid 45$ for our meal n that is the service we got !!!! We WONT be going back EVER again . Ppl paying these prices for their meals should have at least been hot ! Those fries should have NEVER been served ! Just horrible n the host on that phone lacked any kind of courtesy of dealing with us at all . Common sense get someone to seat us ! Thats where it all began .. the overall crew was just terrible . Im done with Tailgatz not another penny of my money will...
