Dunkin' — Restaurant in Somerset

This place looks great from the outside. Looks great on the inside too. Sometimes the order comes away with no issues, but my problem is when there is an issue because it's BAD. I've been here at least 4 different times when the avocado toast bread is stale or overcooked and COMPLETELY inedible. The first 10 times I had gotten it it was fine though so that is why I retained hope even after 2 or 3 incidents.

All that is annoying and shouldn't happen, but the real issue is on my visit on June 20th 2023 at about 5:50am. I get a single item, an Avocado toast as usual. I open the box and it was so freakin obvious that someone had done something disgusting to the item, as the pictures will show. I didn't think it was hard to make an Avocado toast, but when I ordered it the girl seemed just a bit annoyed. Nothing serious but made me take note. I get to work and open the box and immediately see what looks like spit or some kind of other bodily fluid I was disgusted by. I didn't even to bother calling the location to tell them as I'm sure the worker who did it was one of the only people working at the time anyway. Didn't bother calling after getting yet another hard-as-a-rock A.T. yesterday on 9/17/23 either but that's on me... oh well.

This location wouldn't know consistency if it hit them in the face. My order isn't complicated (usually ordered straight off the menu) but every Monday they manage to mess up a different aspect of it.

This Dunkins is located in a sketchy gas station, too. The service is not fast at all, which is the point of being in a gas station. I often wait 10 minutes for a simple mobile order, and they never have my donuts out, I have to ask for them. The point of mobile ordering is so I don't have to talk to people.

The employees are nice, but one tried to blame me for "taking the wrong bag" when it was very clearly my bag the the other employee had prepared (she had asked me what donuts I wanted, then gave me the wrong one after repeating my order to my face. I'm not mad at the first employee, bit the second one who tried to put the blame on me....

As a OG new Englander we all know all Dunkin is not equal. You gotta find the "right" one nearest you. Here in Somerset we have what 3 locations? I started going to this specific one when I changed my mind on Starbucks at the light one morning. Maeve has perfected my order to a T ever since. She greets me with a warm hello and always makes sure my $6 cold brew is just the way I enjoy it. Even taking measures to fixing it if someone else made it, once giving me a 'happy Thursday' quote on my cup. Her hard work and dedication deserves recognition to the fullest. 👏 As a burnt out, tired AF working mama her smile and friendliness starts my day on such a positive note sometimes it is just what the soul needs certain days!
