McDonald's — Restaurant in Somerset

So, I've had a few poor experiences here in the past. However, I have ate here four different times now recently, and I have to say they have improved a TON! Enough so that I'm raising the stars I left in the past! This is what I expect from a McDonald's! Except the prices are higher now than McDonald's should be, but what's NOT costly these days? Great job, guys! Keep it up! 😁✌️

Let's be honest: It's McDonald's, so my expectations weren't that high to begin with. However, when I visit a "fast" food restaurant, I have a few basic expectations. "Fast" service, friendly service, fresh food, and to at least get what I pay for. Tonight, this location hit only one of those marks: Friendly service. In fact, that is the only thing stopping this review from being one star. I waited so long on the car in front of me at the pickup window, I had to place my car in park and shut it off. By the time I finally got my Big Mac combo, the food was as cold as my drink. And the meat patties they used on my NOT SO BIG Mac, were as small as what I would have expected to find had I ordered a hamburger Happy Meal. In fact, when I got home I had to fix two packs of ramen just to finish getting full. The sandwich had more lettuce and buns than anything, and the meat patties were not even the same size as the buns. Cold Sprite is one thing, but old, cold McDonald's fries and a cold Big Mac is another all together.

Tried again 03/26/23 and again I'm disappointed. Service was still friendly but fries were not fresh and barely warm, and the deluxe bacon ranch McCrispy was not deluxe, and barely had any ranch to speak of. And only one piece of bacon, broke in half.

12/12/2024 VAST improvement!!! Went through the drive through around 2 am and ordered a ten piece nugget, medium fry and Sprite no ice. Not only did the line move at a good speed, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received my order! For once, the Sprite tasted like Sprite and not watered down Alka-Seltzer, and the fries and nuggs were fresh and hot! THIS experience is what McDonald's SHOULD be! 🍟 😋 Five stars across the board...

If I could give this McDonald's less than one star I would. Not only does this place mess your food up Everytime you go, the last time I went there on my lunch they had me pull up to wait for my food behind the car that had been in front of me. After waiting 25 mins and neither car had gotten their food I had to leave and go back to work as my lunch break was over. I called them on my way back to work and let them know what happened and they said that we should have came in and asked about our food after THEY pulled us up but said so could stop my and pick up the order later. I then let her know she should find go find out where the order was for the car that had been ahead of me as they had been waiting even longer than I had, and she just laughed.

When I went back that afternoon to get my money because it was after work so didn't want to eat mcdonalds I was going to go home and cook dinner for my family, the manager on shift this time said they don't give refunds they just replace food. I was explaining that I had never even gotten any food so it wasn't even a replacement and I wanted my money back. She walked away from the counter while I was talking so I left the building. I contacted corporate and asked them to call me and they never did, I never got my money back either and I can say without a doubt I would rather starve to death than ever go...

Seems like Everytime I go to this location something isn't right. I always ask for no salt or seasoning on my hamburger Patty bc I don't like the way it taste there. Instead of giving me a fresh Hamburger I'm pretty sure they just throw in on the grill an flip it a couple times bc you can tell by the burnt look it's not fresh and the nasty taste. Another thing you'd think you was robbing them if you ask for a nugget sauce. The only time I ask for a sauce is if they didn't put it the bag already and Everytime they try and charge me and are completely rude over a nugget sauce. Just ridiculous. Only reason I even go here is bc my kids absolutely love getting a McDonald's happy meal. A couple days ago my husband was coming home late from work so I had him stop for chicken nuggets bc I was having a pregnancy craving. Well guess what he got half cooked chicken nuggets. It was dark outside an he went thru the drive thru and just tore into the bag and grabbed a nugget out and popped in his mouth, had to pull over bc he started puking and comes to find out the nuggets was completely raw on the inside. Like really how does this stuff even happen. He called and talked to a manager of course they offered a new meal. We don't want a free meal we want the order we pay for the first time to be right.
