I came for a quick meal, but Tet Vietnamese Kitchen in Somersworth gave me a whole personality reset.
Let’s start with the pho. This isn’t just broth and noodles—it’s basically liquid poetry. The broth is rich, savory, and layered with flavor like it’s been simmering for generations, whispered to by grandmothers and monks who know the secrets of the universe. Every sip feels like it’s solving problems you didn’t even know you had. The noodles? Smooth, perfectly chewy, and downright addictive. The beef? Tender enough to make your steak at home pack its bags out of shame. And the herbs and sprouts bring that perfect fresh crunch—like confetti for your taste buds. Honestly, if I could bottle the smell of this pho and wear it as cologne, I would.
Now, about the Vietnamese milk coffee—WOW. This isn’t coffee; this is jet fuel with a velvet touch. Smooth, sweet, and strong enough to make you feel like you could run a marathon, write a novel, and negotiate world peace all before lunch. One sip and I went from “half asleep” to “main character energy” real quick. It’s dessert, caffeine, and motivation all in one glass. Move over, Starbucks—you’ve been officially friend-zoned.
And the vibe? Cozy, comfortable, and effortlessly chill. The kind of place where you feel at home whether you’re on a date, catching up with friends, or just hiding from life with a bowl of happiness in front of you. The staff is warm and welcoming, the atmosphere has just the right amount of buzz, and the whole experience makes you wonder why you’ve been wasting your time eating anywhere else.
Bottom line: Tet Vietnamese Kitchen isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a cure for a bad day, a love letter to flavor, and probably the best decision you’ll make all week. Come for the pho, stay for the coffee, leave with a full belly and a new...
Read moreDisappointed. I think there is lots of room for improvement. We ordered the beef pho, it was supposed to be with sliced beef, tripe and brisket. I only detected sliced beef. The noodles were not the traditional noodles I usually see in bowls of pho, when dining in the Boston area. The broth was just ok, also a little stingy with th been sprouts and basil. We also ordered a pork bahn mi, the bread is entirely wrong, a sub roll in place of a baguette, the chunk of cucumber wasnt sliced thin or pickled, very little dikon, a mushy mess, not much flavor. If all the correct ingredients aren't available in the area, then I suggest taking it off the menu. The fresh rolls were ok. The restaurant is very clean and has lots of nice tile on the walls and floor. Nice lighting and overall design. More focus needed on food experience. I don't appreciate the self service or the condiment station. There should be hoisin, hot sauce and peppers on each table. Overall we didn't enjoy the food and probably won't bother trying again. There are much better and many other options in Boston and surrounding areas. There needs to be significant focus on improving the execution of the menu or I think this will be another empty restaurant. Even if this was a one off, it's unfortunate and still unacceptable, no excuses. If I am capable of making better food than this, which I am, there is no reason to dine out. Drive to Lowell pho 88, and Dp saigon subs in Malden and see what they do, and taste...
Read moreWe have big dog energy : food motivated. We will go anywhere for a good meal. The fact that this incredible place is 12 minutes from our house blows our minds. Easter evening - pull into the tri city plaza in somersworth - I won’t lie - expectations are low. We walk in and BAM - this place is down right beautiful. Whomever did the build out, we applaud you. Incredible atmosphere. Fast service meets moody, sexy vibe. I didn’t even know this could be accomplished. Mind blowing. The menu screens on the walls didn’t feel out of place and gave it a metro area feel (here for it). We didn’t see the sign that asked you to order and pay on a terminal. But, the counter help obliged us older folks politely. (Thank you!) What we ordered: Beef Bahn Mi, summer rolls, and vegan vermicelli. Every. Single. Bite. Was equally as satisfying as it begging. We wanted it to never end. The Bahn Mi bread was perfectly crunchy and soft. The cilantro and carrots and whatever else they put in it was perfectly balanced in flavor. Summer Rolls were yummy, chewy and fresh! Peanut sauce - I’d like to bathe in it. Vermicelli was so light and flavorful. It felt guilt free and comforting. Peach boba tea - incredible.
The packaging, branding and personalization of everything was impressive. I’ve never seen such incredible detail without feeling intimated.
Well done to all hands who brought this together. May the restaurant gods be ever in your...
