I have some friends that enjoy it, but this place is pretty bad. I live about a block away, so I've eaten there out of convenience more times than I wish I had, but I've come to my senses. The pizza is generic, cheaper, greek style pizza. It's doughy and bland (though, not as greasy as some). It's cheap for $7.99 or whatever the pick-up price is now, but there are much better dining options for the money.
Some time ago, I ordered an Italian sub from here, and it consisted of ham, pepperoni, american cheese, lettuce and onions. I called up and asked what the deal was, after I paid for it and walked home with it, and the younger sounding dude that answered the phone said "Oh, yeah, we're all out of the other stuff, so I put peperoni on there. Is that cool?" Would have been a whole lot cooler if you had asked while I was sitting at your one crappy little table while you made my sandwich. The guy who appears to be in his 50s that works here, who I imagine is the owner, is better. My favorite of their bloopers was about 2 years ago, when I ordered several things, including the Chicken, Broccoli and Ziti alfredo. I amusedly watched as a befuddled young man put broccoli, cooked pasta, cooked chicken and garlic into a dry cold pan, and "cooked" it... eventually all of the ingredients got hot. He finished it off with a scoop of Knorr alfredo sauce powder, which was fairly solid, that he smashed into smaller chunks in the pan, and then tossed all of that into a take-out container. It was cheap, so I paid for it, took it home, and tossed it around in a pan with a little cream. It was pretty irritating, but I was thoroughly amused. If you're going to get anything here, get a steak and cheese sub. They're fine. They're what puts the food at this place in the "fair" end of...
Read morejust went for my second time since moving to the area last week. the 1st time i had old reheated slices. but it was late, so ill excuse it. well, today i went in, and ordered a steak and cheese sub, as well as 2 slices. when i went to pay, the guy charged me an extra 2 dollars more than what it should have been. mind u, all i had on it was tomato and a lil bbq. when i questioned the person behind the counter about why it was so much, he replied very snooty that it was for toppings. i was like, wait a minute, 1.50 for tomato? he was very rude about it. instead of fighting with him about it, i just paid and left. when i got home, the 11$ sub i ordered was opened, and i found out there was barely any meat in it. very disappointed. the sub itself was decent, but im very upset that the price doesnt match the amount of food u should recieve. Also, tell people that u charge for...
Read moreThis place is fire. My partner and I are sticklers for high quality pizza, and this place is our favorite in Cambridge or Somerville. I just ordered the pasta and meatballs, I was expecting a pasta and meatballs like you would get from any other pizza joint, but was surprised by the homemade sauce with tons of herbs and spices perfectly cooked pasta and tender morsels of meatballs. The pizza is thin crust with just the right amount of toppings to add a great bite without being over powering. We also got the chicken tenders which are the BEST we've had in a long time, clearly homemade, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The French fries were the only things lackluster, but everything else has hit the mark 10xx. Delivery was...
