Brunch CORNED BEEF HASH (14) from @oldemagounssaloon. "Fried Eggs, Rustic Style Corned Beef Hash, Country Toast". It was rustic, all right! Big chunks of their excellent house-made brisket corned beef. The crispy peppers surprised me a bit, but they added a nice texture. The eggs were cooked as ordered, but no browning was present. The potatoes still had the slimy skin on, and a few was so mushy they weren't edible. The bread was excellent. Overall, a delightful meal after the potatoes were peeled. Excellent Reuben available as well.

HAUS WURST PLATE (19) from @oldemagounssaloon. "Hofbrau Bier steamed Schaller and Weber Bratwurst & Knockwurst, sauerkraut & tart apple, warm German potato salad, mustard, currywurst". They insisted that it was called currywurst, but that is a type of sausage. Curry Gewurz is the correct name. Anyway, this wasn't on the menu when I got there today. It had been 86ed over the summer. In the end, the kitchen agreed to make it for me, and boy was I lucky. This was absolutely delicious! The sauerkraut with apples was a delight, and so were the sausages. The warm potato salad was excellent and had plenty of onion and bacon. The potatoes had the skin left on, but I didn't really mind for once, since it was like the skin on new potatoes. The curry ketchup was also delicious. I once bought a bottle from Karl Kitchen, which was just meh. I was only charged $16 since it wasn't in the system anymore. Somebody got a big tip!

CAST IRON MAC-N-CHEESE (12) at @oldemagounssaloon. With the add-on buffalo chicken it's ($17). "Cooked to order and served in a cast iron skillet". This looks like a small serving, but it wasn't. The creamy pasta was cooked perfectly, and the tender buffalo chicken was crispy, even after being sauced. Another...

So, I go to Olde Magoun's regularly during softball season. Great food and beer selection and really friendly servers. I just tried their brunch recently and really enjoyed it. Also, I'm a vegetarian and never struggle for options. I love the convenient parking behind CVS. So, why only three stars? I didn't originally plan to write a review, I seldom do on Google. However, it popped up and after accidentally clicking review, I thought I had closed the box. Unfortunately, a 1 star review was posted by mistake. I wasn't aware I had done this until Olde Magoun's responded by saying "fat slob stay out". I understand they were possibly frustrated by a bad review with no constructive criticisms, but insulting people probably isn't the way to deal with it. I'm going to keep the friendly staff and positive previous experiences in mind and at least give them some stars, but I'm unimpressed with...

Incredibly disrespectful trivia night host. Went in person between rounds to ask him to repeat the answers and was ridiculously rude. Finally got it repeated and noted an error he made in the answers, even showing proof. He had Anne Robinson as the host of family feud, when it was obviously Steve Harvey, which is why I asked him to repeat it. Host angrily waved me off, saying “okay well I’m not changing it.” A waitress followed up saying “if you don’t like it you can leave.”

It sucks, because the restaurant side of this place was fantastic and earned back 1 star. Went out of my way to tip my waitresses and bartenders aside from the whole experience — but I’ve never been treated like such utter garbage at an establishment. Do not come here for trivia. Additionally, the materials for it are poorly made. Go to Phoenix Landing...

Went in tonight , got the braised shot rib melt for my meal. The sandwich alone is so good nice cheesy meat cooked perfect and some type of aioli that really complimented it, , but when you dip it in the sauce it took it to the next level. Wife got the Irish chicken curry, honestly big time surprise for me. Never been a huge curry fan but maybe just haven’t had good curry cause it was unbelievably tasty. Finally I added some wings cause they have a 50 cent deal, I felt bad eating wings that good for so cheap, no joke I can’t remember the last time I had some wing that good.

Talk about a hidden gem! Olde Magoun's does great beer events, and secretly has good food to boot. We got their smoked chicken nachos, which were well balanced, not too smothered in cheese, and had a strong smokey flavor from the chicken - would order again. The beer we had was also great. We tried 4 of the 8 they had on tap for this particular event (Barrel Aged beers, almost all of which were >9% abv), and weren't sad to have tried any of them. Keep an eye on their schedule, and when you see something that piques your interest, make the trip out!
