White Sport Pizza — Restaurant in Somerville

Food was good and delivery guy was nice. Unfortunately, they pulled a very bizarre stunt that left me dumbfounded. I ordered from an online delivery site where a 2-Liter of soda is listed on their menu for $3. The staff at the restaurant decided that it was worthwhile to call the delivery service to tell them they had raised the price of this item to $4, and to up-charge me $1. The online site actually let them do this (which is a separate issue), but the fact that the restaurant spent their time and effort to do this, at the expense of the customer's satisfaction, is seriously messed up. Is it really worth one single dollar to totally drive away a customer? And by the way, it's 10 days later and they STILL have not corrected the price on the site.

The icing on the cake though is that they didn't even have the type of soda I ordered (chosen from their own menu options). But rather than call me to ask what I wanted, they just sent me a random flavor. So... they DID have time to call the delivery site to raise my price, but they DIDN'T have time to call ME to ask what I wanted when they were out of the item I ordered. What planet are these people from, seriously? Just no sense of priorities or customer service whatsoever. The food here is above average for similar priced places (and my son’s favorite pizza) but I have had way too many customer service issues. We used to order from them years ago but several times they took our address down incorrectly so we gave up. We tried again now that we can order online. Several times now there have been extremely long wait times with no call to inform of the delay. Once when I called to ask about our order the man who answered just said, “We are very busy tonight” and hung up on me. Tonight was the last order when it took an 1 hour and 45 minutes for the order to arrive - an hour of which was just the delivery when we live .9 miles away. I could have walked there and back if...

I’ve been getting pizza and subs from white sport over 30 yrs,(I used to go to there old location when a different family owned it.) but I just gotta say that Angelo and his wife do there best to serve and deliver very good food..my favorite is their steak bombs..sometimes I get them in a wrap with xxcheese and they are awsum,and the pizza is great to..I also love the Greek Salads with grilled chicken, they are huge..I suggest giving them a try.. delivery can take time at peak eat hrs or during games.. I prefer picking up myself, parking can be tough so I always take someone with me to run in while I circle the block and your guaranteed good hot...
